OK, I looked at the walkthrough, and it said that you get the wind and fire auras after beating Jed. (Well, it said 'ending Jed' and I don't know what that means exactly.) I don't even remember a Jed. Was he the second guy in the Plunge tournament? Is it that big of a deal if I miss out on these two auras? How come I don't remember a Jed? If anyone could answer my questions I'd greatly appreciate it.

Jed is Lyrra's father. You put him out of his misery after he's wounded by bandits, then you get the auras. There's no way to not get them.

i suggest you try doing the game for yourself before reading on ahead in the walkthrough

He might have read some parts in advance so he won't miss anything.
Still, I suggest just enjoying the game WITHOUT ever looking into a walkthrough during your first playthrough.

i sugest, those newbies MUST read old themes, where some of them have already asced that stupid question

Does anyone think it would be a good idea to create an FAQ sticky to answer game play questions? The list could start out with the questions that have been asked on these forums so far. That thread could be used to post questions and the list could be updated when new questions are asked. If anyone thinks this would be a good idea, I could search through the forums for all the threads asking for help and answer them as thoroughly as I can.

In this case, the "walkthrough" had (and probably still has) the auras listed as being the wrong episode. When I got to the end of episode 2 and checked to see that I had gotten everything, I was mystified by entry this as well.
Fix the error and no more problems.

i think a faq would be good
mind you the amount of n00bs who don't actually read those topics...

Maybe we could submit it to gamefacks. Stupid gamefackers. But at least we can point them to it, and it'll draw attention to The Way. More people playing is still more people playing.

GameFAQs won't put the Way on their main areas. It would have to be on a board, and boards would only reach the regulars. I don't know if many people know about any boards besides specific games.

I think you're over reacting here a little bit.

He's right, though.

For once.
GameFAQs has an RM2K board, but I think most of them already know about The Way. Just go to other forums like this one advertising in your sig. Or if they have a spam forum, make a topic about it there. >_< Or a more subtle one somewhere else.

I haven't asked for help because I beat all 5 episodes fairly easily. I then went through a second time to get more notch items. Then a third, using RM2K to double check notches. I'm only missing one in my second game, and I know where it is. Seriously, these games have been easy for me. I might get killed once or twice in a boss fight/plunge, but I KEEP TRYING FOR AS LONG AS IT TAKES! I despise strategy guides and pity those who use them when they haven't beat the gme yet or tried their hardest. Lun has put some kind of tricky puzzles in, and I would applaud him for putting in harder ones. (At least as hard as is possible with RM2K, while still being beatable. The puzzles I've seen in some games...)
