Then Gaius saved her from the water (She says it) and brings her to be with the Blana Sera, because he was still with them at the time. Kloe can't be Serena.

Similar to the above. What exactly is that first word, the entire subject of the sentence? I could try and decipher it beyond there, but the whole sentence really uses just appalling grammar.
