Ok, so whose do you think the final boss will be? The Phantom Slasher, maybe? Perhaps the Blana Blood Lyn guy or the Pontifex Maximus Tetzel. Maybe good ole Traz. Or maybe Gaius turns around to be the final boss? ..or Dirk has been using you and reveals his true form! Maybe its some one who you havn't met yet. Or (would be pretty cool) a super powered Strata who has given himself to the darkness and went completely insane has one final plunge with you.

And who do you think your party will be for the final boss?

Do you not read? Do you see any theories about Midian being a boss? I don't. Anyways, not all games have to have a final boss. The Way would be regulated to just so much mush if you have to spend ten minutes fighting a pixelated enemy ripped from some SNES game that uses a total of four attacks. I do not want to finish a game that has been 99% story line with a battle.
