Midian vs. Mldian

I apologize if somebody's mentioned this already, but I can't check anymore.

Since The Way uses a non-fixed-width font, but with fixed character spacings, the capital M is so wide that it obliterates any half-width characters to its right. That is, we don't know if Midian is really named Midian. He could be
Mldian, or even M dian.

An extra space after the M would help.

When I play The Way (the most recent version of each episode, downloaded from the main site), there are font difficulties. The font in which all the dialogue text appears is varable width, but the spacing is fixed. This sometimes causes characters to overalp. It's generally a bit unesthetic, but it only causes readability difficulties when the captical "M" is involved (since "M" is the widest character).

Does no one else get this?

The downloads are labeled as "Stand Alone." That should mean they don't require any additional components to run properly. I'm certain a lot of people who play The Way do not use anything beyond these files.

Here are some screenshots that illustrate the problem, anyway.

You can see the problems with "W" (the second-most troublesome character) and with "M." There's also another mistake illustrated here, in that "MOTHER" is spelled out uncapitalized in a couple screens.

(I also found another bug while collecting these, which is in a second thread.)

The font isn't a The Way problem its a RM2K problem. Its not Luns job to make sure everyone has a font patch. Anyway heres a link to the patch:

Obviously the problem is not Lun's fault. However, if he's going to offer "Stand Alone" versions of the game, they should not require additional patches. Either the text should be fixed so that the overlap is never so severe that portions become unreadable (as they are now), or the patches should be incorporated into the downloads.
