I have windows XP and I cant get any of the downloadable games to work at all. Are the games made by RPG2000 and the RPG maker itself compatible with windows xp. I can't get any of them to work. Yes I've turn all other programs off, I dont have multiple users on at one time and yes i have downloaded the RTP for rm2k. What am I doing wrong??

You shouldn't make another topic for this when you already have one. Having XP doesn't effect it, and you dont need the RTP to play the game anyway. I don't know what wrong if none of the stuff I mentioned earlier worked though.

OK thanks. Sorry bout posting a second topic. If anyone knows what could be the problem I'm still trying to solve it. Any help is appreciated.

Have you tried redownloading the games? Maybe a file is missing.

I downloaded rm2k. The rpg maker runs fine but I can't play the sample game, play test my own games or play any other games that I have downloaded. I'm new to the rpg maker for PC so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I'm about to give up.

Uh, try screwing with the Display settings for the computer. I really have no idea if that will work, but it's worth a try.

Crud. If all else fails, swipe a friend's laptop.

Try test playing it in RM2K and not put it on full screen, dunno if that will work or not, but its worth a try.
