Free publicity. Example? Your post. You just brought up nintendo's product, in the face of a competitor's project. The name itself gives it free advertising, so the fact that is was soooo controversial made Nintendo basically orgasm with glee at the coverage they recieved for weeks afterward.
When I read it would have a ps2 inside, I was kinda hoping you'd just...slide the damn thing in the back of the ps3

I love my PS2, but Sony have been making a hell of a lot of stupid decisions recently. Even metal gear solid 4 isn't enough to make me want a ps3 at the moment.

Don't get me wrong, Metal Gear solid 4 looks shit hot and i want it even more since i'm such a metal gear solid fan but sadly i will not be shelling out $600 for 1 or 2 games. I'll just have to wait.

Same, I refuse to fork out such a large sum of money for a console alone, yet alone for one or two games. I'll wait for a bit and get a Wii when the price of that drops or I get another job then maybe in the far future get a PS3.

The only reason PS3 is so expensive is becuase of the Blu-Ray and HVD drive. MGS4 and FFXIII are probably the only games I am going to get for PS3.
I read it was $659 in the us and £400 in the uk.

That doesn't change much. Still not going to get it until it's around 200-300. I got the old PS2 when it came out for 300, it broke and screwed up lots of disks because of the gay disk system. New one got bought for about 90.
In other news I need to change my keyboard from American to English so I know where the pound sign is...
