Regarding Phantom Slasher in Episode 2

Postby sqpat17 » Sat Apr 16, 2005 10:19 am

Were those people killed in early chapter two supposed to have been killed by the phantom slasher? The ones in the campsite or whatever, where you were supposedly very close to the killer? If so, I don't see how Rhue had any chance to have done those... he was awake and with traizun the whole time leading up to those murders. Of course, if it was just the blue scarves, or something, i guess it wouldn't matter. I don't remember about the wounds on the bodies though, maybe that would explain it either way?

I guess its assumed that they were killed by the PS, I don't think we ever actually find out who killed them.

not yet but im fairly cirtain its gaius

think about it, he misteriously takes off and next time you see him its after two un-phantom slasher like murders. I beleive him collapsing the bridge was just his little cover story
"oh the killer must have rigged the bridge so we couldn't follow when he saw you coming"

Very good point, I have now come to a new theory:

The PS is obviously just an innocent bystander or stalker of Rhue and happens to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. But how did the people die I hear you ask, well I found two pretty convincing ideas, either that Rhue is just so cold and such a self-centred ass hole that he just causes people to die a few minutes after he's met them, except for main characters because they're important, or they're psychick or something, OR that all the people who have been supposedly killed by the PS are all just members of an underground group of suicidal cultists.

Isn't it obvious!?

I wouldn't be surprised if all the people killed are members of some secret group, afterall we know they all have some important connection.

I don't think that's it.

...After all, remember what those wonderful kind settlers on Marna Stretch said? "All my buddies that were killed are... uh... They were all good men." :P

The PS could be a tool of Tetzel of course, I mean the rebels Gaius was leading against them were killed. I think Rhue found out Gaius was the PS before ep 1, but of course, Rhue doesn't remember it. Gaius could be Kalmar's perfect blade too, and we don't know for sure how old Rhue and Gaius could be. What if on the night of the Landorian massacre, all three of the "wolves" wanted new bodies for their auras and children would be perfect, I mean the bodies where never found...

Gaius of course could have all along been a double, double crosser. It seems to me that Gaius and Rhue could only cause their ends by their own sword..
