Well, he bought the software, and we don't really care to read the licenses, but I'm sure that if the software included any premade stuff whatsoever (sprites, music, etc), you'd need permission from the owners of their respective companies to use whatever it is, notifying them of the intended profit. So unless you want to track down all the artists for the mp3's you use, you'll need to compose the music yourself, as well as make your own sprite sheets, backgrounds, monsters, and any other fun stuff. I'd suggest you read the EULA if you really wanna avoid any of that boring stuff and see what it says about the content, but then, like before, we need to take into account that nobody ever reads them.
