Why is that Tele and Fitz are the only ones who remotely understand what I'm saying?
That is what I was saying, I just didn't realise you're too stupid to understand that.Morals arn't dictated by religion, religion merely suggests an acceptable code of conduct, regardless of if you follow that religion or not.
GreatChickenman wrote:Believe me, the people that are getting aborted are NOT gonna grow up to be Einsteins or Mozarts.
And on any level, basically you're saying, "Lets overpopulate the Earth so everyone starves to death, after all there aren't enough starving people right now that we don't do shit to help," or you're saying, "Its much better for a baby to be found dead in a trash can or torn up by dogs after a 15 year old girl gives birth."
Wow, thanks for getting it completely wrong. How the hell did you work that out? I've never said anything which would suggest that.
ReaperGal wrote:Sling wrote:What if a fetus was going to grow up to be the next Einstein or Mozart? That's minus 8 respect point for you.
Fate is completely within the realm of opinion, so 'the next mozart' argument is flawed and useless. The last time I had my period, that could have been the next mozart, but nobody was outside the mall protesting when I bought my tampax.
Well done. That's your first answer which is actually feasible.
I must admit that my argument was stupid, then again I only said that to prolong this topic.
ReaperGal wrote:Sling wrote:And anyway, how is moral's a bad thing?
Morals dictated by religion are a very bad thing. Do this, or spend eternity in pain. Using fear to sway people to your opinion. That's terrorism.
You don't know anything about any religon do you? If you did then you wouldn't be saying this. Some religions do teach that. Not all of them. You are tarring all relgions with the same brush. You have no concept about difference between religions therefore your opinion is a puddle crap and pointless.
ReaperGal wrote:Sling wrote:
Obviously there are people who take things way too far, but if there were no morals at all and we followed your beliefs we'd have all murdered each other by now (even though without killing we'd have a population crisis).
No, if we all followed my beliefs, there would be no war, no hate, no poverty. We would be kind to each other not for the sake of getting ourselves into heaven, but only to help each other. Religion is hateful. More people have died in Christ's name than any other, even Stalin's. Not even Buddhism is free from bloodshed. It's your beliefs that propogate violence.
Tarring eveything with the same brush again. Tut, tut.
People haven't died in Christ's name, they were killed. They didn't ask to die. People who kill themselves in the name of a religion are 10 time out of ten not really part of the relgion they claim to be.
ReaperGal wrote:Minus eight respect points? Okay, kid, first of all, I'm more respected on these boards than you will ever be. Second, what makes you think I care how much you respect me? I don't respect you at all, and I never have, so your little 'respect count' means exactly nothing to me.
Now that's not very nice is it. You may be more respected than me on this forum but I seriously doubt you will ever be more respected than me elsewhere. Kid? I may only be 17 but my IQ was 136 and my mental age was 21 when I was 14. I also have a B in Relgious Studies(RS was forced upon everyone at my High School), so I think I know more about Religion than you do. Stop tarring all religions with the same brush.
ReaperGal wrote:Sling wrote:Yes, becuase I spent countless hours calculating and thinking about in a number of different perspectives.
Calculating what? There's no math involved here.
Is there?
ReaperGal wrote:Sling wrote:So I'm a prophet now?
No. You were spouting a future written by someone thousands of years ago who didn't know shit about social science. Therefore, it's crap.
So I'm not a prophet? Make up your mind. Anyway, I was joking about the whole end-of-the-world thing dumbass.
ReaperGal wrote:I wrote:

Better make that Minus 7.
I refer you to my earlier statement. Your opinion of me is a drop in the ocean.
My opinion of you is lower than the ankle socks of a particularly small beetle, standing in a ditch, in a quarry, in the Low Country and if I were to meet you in person then you spending a lifetime in hell getting tortured by Beelzebub and his minions would be a joy compared to what I would do to you in 5 minutes.
ReaperGal wrote:Sling wrote:Yes, but people are too lazy and won't deal with all the nuclear waste appropriately.
It's that sort of defeatist attitude about human nature that religion uses to keep us under their control. Congratulations. You're the one of the sheep hell-bent on keeping humanity from reaching its greatest potential. You make me sick.
It's not a defeatist attitude, it's the truth. Do you have any idea how much nuclear materials are stolen and how much nuclear waste is insufficiently stored? Nuclear energy costs a lot and all these energy tycoons are probably going to be too tightfisted to change to Nuclear. Wind power is the way forward, as it is free. Congratulations. You're going to fuel terrorist stockpiles and cause a nuclear winter.
As much as I would love to stay here and argue with you until doomsday I have other things to get doing.
I would also like to point out that I don't know eveything about Religions and I am mentally disabled so not everything I say may make absolute perfect sense.
And can please talk about something more cheerful?!
Wow, this topic is 9 pages long. Yay, we're on a roll!
