Okay, but seriously. One of my managers at work told me about this true story he heard about in his Ethics class. There was this guy in Germany (a german, probably) who made a webpage of some sort asking if anyone would let him eat them. He had some way to be contacted, like an email address or something. Anywho, some kid replied, I think it was like, a 16-year-old, and he agreed to be eaten. So he goes to the german, signs some papers, and he's gonna be eaten by a german dude. But the kid wants to share a last meal with him first. So the kid cuts off his OWN PENIS and they cook it up and eat it together. Then he was put in a warm bathtub naked so that the blood would come out better. But he wasn't dying quick enough. So the guy cuts him a few more times, and he still isn't dying quite fast enough. So eventually the german just slits his throat, cooks him and eats him. The german got caught when he tried to make a second add on the internet for another kid to eat, but since the kid signed papers it was considered a suicide, and since cannabalism isn't illegal in germany, the guy gets off without a charge.

Okay, but here's the REALLY freaky part. They filmed it. The whole thing. You can watch them cut off the penis. Now, I beseech you, whoever can tolerate ACTUAL FILMED MURDER, to find this video. I probably won't watch it, but hey, someone here might, and they'll be freaked out. Oh, and the jury in the court case saw the video, and they had to get a new jury, cuz they were so mortified. Two of them went into the hospital for psychosis.
Oh, and in case you were wondering, the teacher then asked "So is this ethically right?"

I'm not really sure, but I don't think cannibalism is legal in Germany. More likely the kid signing these papers was what helped this guy.

Actually, I would say that it's ethically right since both people agreed to do it.

Whether others disagree with the actions or not, they both were okay with it, and since only those willing two were affected by it, it isn't morally wrong.

Anyways, yeah, Ethically....That's difficult. The kid was of sound mind, but kids do drastic things some times, more often than adults (college and HS suicides are more numerous, I believe). And obviously the guy's a little...eh...crazy

But it's still ethical. The consent makes it that way. However, that doesn't mean it wasn't taboo in the least. That story just....ugh, terrible...But it's so fucked up that I think it's only ethical on a legal level. I'm saying we make some of our ethics based on the law (or we dont...aka fuck da po-leece). However, it's okay to violate ethics out of neccessity. If you have no food and youre stranded on an isle with no edible resources except a recently deceased person, eventually that person will start to look pretty tasty.

But this wasn't desperation. This was totally fucked up on so many levels and didn't have to happen. So I say the only ethical part of this is that it was done by the books. Everything else is just fucked up and I wouldn't be suprised if legal action to outlaw cannibalism were taken in the future.

I considered the topic a question of eating human in general, preferably in a dead state. in the isle situation, if it were 2 people alive, it'd be unethical (in most cases) to eat the other person if they A) didn't consent, which would suck, or B) had to be killed by you unwillingly. If its 2 people and one turns on the other, I don't know who'd be right, the attacker or the defender who ends up killing the attacker. The attacker is desperate and the defender will need food too, even though he didn't plan on attacking the ....attacker....

Bah, it's about dead people, dammit!

I made a mock advert based on this in my media class years ago.
It was an advert for sauce that was delicious with meat, and this german guy got convicted of cannibalism (in this country) and the only evidence they had was that they found a bottle of this sauce in his house. It was all they needed though.

I think a friend of mine saw that video of the penis...removal. If not then it was a very similar idea. A man cut off his penis and then his balls with a hatchet. He then squeased the testicles out of the sack and started playing with them. My friend then threw up. I don't know where he found it though.
