The Sultana is quite pretty and fiercely independent. She's a mechanical engineer, having gone into engineering in part to prove to her high school counselor that she could take the rigor and difficulty of that line of work. (She went to a Catholic girl's school, where the guidance counselor recommended that she study the liberal arts in college, instead of going to her first choice school, MIT, which is where we met.) When we were first dating, people said we fought more than any other couple they'd ever seen. In the years since then, our relationship has mellowed a bit, but we both possess strong personalities, so there's plenty of potential for conflict. Yet whenever it really matters, I know that I can count on her support and assistance, no matter what.

I started playing D&D in elementary school actually, and played on into college. I have an entire bookcase full of old modules, magazines, etc. I wish I could still play, but it's just too difficult to find a group of commited people with enough free time.
