The Sultana is quite pretty and fiercely independent. She's a mechanical engineer, having gone into engineering in part to prove to her high school counselor that she could take the rigor and difficulty of that line of work. (She went to a Catholic girl's school, where the guidance counselor recommended that she study the liberal arts in college, instead of going to her first choice school, MIT, which is where we met.) When we were first dating, people said we fought more than any other couple they'd ever seen. In the years since then, our relationship has mellowed a bit, but we both possess strong personalities, so there's plenty of potential for conflict. Yet whenever it really matters, I know that I can count on her support and assistance, no matter what.

I started playing D&D in elementary school actually, and played on into college. I have an entire bookcase full of old modules, magazines, etc. I wish I could still play, but it's just too difficult to find a group of commited people with enough free time.

ANSWER ME THIS:

WHAT THE HELL IS #RF?
"You see, wire telegraph is a kind of a very, very long cat. You pull his tail in New York and his head is meowing in Los Angeles. Do you understand this? And radio operates exactly the same way: you send signals here, they receive them there. The only difference is that there is no cat." (Albert Einstein, when asked to describe radio)

I love Stargate SG-1. The movie and most of the first season were a bit weak, but the show is really tremendously sophisticated. In particular, the overall storyline is very well presented, and the episodes are strongly tied together. (This is apparently because of the very high quality of the editing; the script editors take episodes which are initially totally disconnceted from everything else, then add enough ancillary material to fit it smoothly into the primary or secondary story arcs.)

Well, we left the Striked server, so I guess they can just go die anyway. Yay for me. Now to listen to Stratovarius until I get kicked off the computer by my aunt with no computer skills who is coming over to have the simplest tasks taught to her. Ah well...
