Where'd Lun get his backgrounds? There are some of those weird panorama ones. Where did he get them?

Are you talking about the 3D landscapes? Cause Lun himself makes them. He uses Bryce 3D 4 to create the 3D landscapes, then takes a still picture of certain angles of them. He then uses uses them as panoramas, while creating a separate picture of all the shadows casted by objects, or parts of terrain that are above the hero. Then walking borders are determined by using transparent but impassible tiles. Other details, like water bubbles as animating sprites.

that's not all

There is also a fairly complex algorithim used to make sure the background picture deosn't move with the hero character. Lun told me it was real booger figuring it out.

Really? I didn't think it would've been that hard, but thinking about it now... I suppose it would be.

This "complex algorithim"... Is it checking the "move with map" box on the show image prompt?

Actually no. You can view the code in the "Keep pic # xx in place" event. It involves making an anchor for the images, to mantain them attached to some point of the map. It is actually very complicated, since i've tried to do it myself, even copying Lun's code, but it just doesn't work for my project. I'm not sure why, but i have to say, Lun's got a great advantage in coding over me.
