DSOK, scavenger birds would pick anything clean. Plus her death would have had NO meaning, and Sacrifa's psychotic rampage all for crap.

Cetsa may not be dead yet, she still has a deal with Strata, who's VERY close by. Slade's been injured far worse and saved by, ironically, the same guy. Cetsa isn't out yet.

And last note? Bandits? How were those settlers in Marna bad? I just assumed the Guided are dicks, and betrayed them. Backstory please.

RHUE: Everyone seems to know about this "shadow killer."
MAN: Yea, walking death. Wanderers are dying left and right. Wanderers with nothing in common.
MAN: Wait a second... Maybe there is a common element...
RHUE: A common element? What?
MAN: All my buddies that were killed are... uh...
RHUE: Are what?
MAN: Heh, they were all good men. Anyway, nice to meet you, I'm Tiller.
RHUE: (What was he really going to say? He was acting strange, that much is for sure.)

BOY: These men, they killed my father!!
VELICIA: You saw them do it?
BOY: Yes...
VELICIA: I wonder why...
VELICIA: Hmmm...
RHUE: What are you doing?
VELICIA: Checking this body for marks... Ah, yep, these guys were bandits all right.

Well, I remember the settelers having a strange fixation on the child who you were supposed to bring back to the mom. What was all that about?

It's not very deep for a villain to recognize their villainy and occasionally try to make amends. They then generally relapse back into evil. Cetsa got her just desserts, and I don't feel sorry for her.

I disagree with that. I believe that it is the necklace was was making her evil, and she wasn't truely evil. I posted about this somewhere on the forum, I'll dig up a link.

EDIT: Here it is. It's the third last post from the bottom.

Cetsa would have powdered her nose if that was her death scene...

And seems, unlike the others, we didn't actually see her die... She's got to be used later on in some way, shape or form

I totally forgot about Lilah, that was pretty sad too. Cause she was such a nice lady, and she was killed because she was well, ugly. Lun did a good job of (intentionally or not) mocking society. We often pick on those that have the most obvious flaws.

You didn't try it both ways? I always try to get the most out of a game by playing through every significant option.

I should have read the whole thread before I started posting....

The necklace may represent greed driving people to do evil things, but I think it would probably be fairly weak if it were actually magical and evil. That's a pretty cliche idea, and it would require a great deal to explain how Rhue ever happened to have it in the first place (much less how he was able to give it away, presuming that actually happened).

No, I missed them my first time, and the second time I killed the Guided.

Anyway, Cetsa, like I said, may still be alive. People took injuries FAR worse and rebounded in less than 10 minutes. Her injury was more or less a tool to show everyone that Rhue didn't care anymore, and how he wasn't willing to save anyone.

Strata is close-by. They fought and had a deal. Strata, unless he's been humblized to HELL (unlikely) will probably still hook up with her.

Don't you think a magical piece of Jewlry is a bit cliche. and we've observed how Lun treats cliches.:

Lyrra:"Isn't there some specail flower with healing powers we can go retrieve?"
Doc: "what kind of mrorn are you , he's going to die."
"psst hey buddy... you wanna buy my book?"

I didn't think Lun would stoop so low as to make the necklace magical and actually the center of everything. Thanks for the semi-confirmation.

(If there were a magical necklace, it should be the one Rhue can toss into the river at the very beginning.)

I feel like an idiot:

EDIT: I don't think that the story is based ON the necklace, but rather, the necklace might be an important plot device of some sort. Or...yeah, I think I should shut up before I sound more stupider.

Whoops, too late.

Well...I think we are all forgetting some even sadder deaths...what about the poor henchmen who knew nothing that were killed by the Phantom slasher? And that chick who got beheaded when she was about to be raped? :( We always forget the little guys and sidechars in the game...

Ooh 1 more comment:
Whoever sold life insurance to the cast in The Way is bound to make a huge loss. Just imagine the amount of claims after ep5 XD.

I don't think anybody forgot about that bimbo; we just don't feel as sorry for her. A couple people (including myself) have mentioned Rhan's girlfriend as a particularly hard loss; I thought it was particularly poignant when Rhan paused to turn and look back at the very end of episode 5.
