That makes alot of sense it also could have something to do with Jeruh's death or it could be what happened to Scatha.

If the end of E5 marks the cycle starting over with Landorin, I still think something is wrong there. Janwen is referred to as a historic or ancient city or something along those lines. So it's not something that happened in the last 20 years, really.
