Who would win?

Everything is variable, either the knight or the samurai could win, if he had the sun on his side, or maybe a sneak attack.



Also samurai did not only use one sword. They also carried a smaller knife. And I think some of them may have also been proficient with the spear or the bow.

Samurai wouldn't need to use a bow like a knight wouldn't need to use a bow. They have Archers for that.

One word: Mongols. They would waste all of them. Like they did, back in the day. But, especially the knights. Like when they killed (approx)70,000 Europeans with only 20,000 Mongols. And their style of leadership is better (The most able one is the ruler). But, before you make fun of me for them not being on here, I know that.

Because of this, I will have to say Samurai, because some how they were able to throw the mongols back. Well, the Japanese. But they wouldn'tm have if the Mongols attacked again. Still. The samurai, even though I like European culture better. So, there is my vote!

knight (i'm assuming something like a templar with heavy armour and a barded steed.) would break anyone if he got the chance to charge?
Not the ninja because the ninja would jump, grapple or roll away.
The samurai would cut the horses head off if he found an open space in the barding.
the pirate could just shoot but i tihnk the bullet wouldn't pierce the armour.

The pirate would be the underdog if it werent for the gun. and unless he's a eral marksman then you can survive a bullet in the leg, arm or even torso (for a while at least)

From what i know japaneese swords are better forged than most european ones, so fropm that i think the knight would rely more on his charge with lance, if he gets unmounted his heavy armour would make him so slow that sword duels would get him killed most likely.

the ninja is and always will be an assasin type warrior, like a more deadly thief. they use almost the same weapon as a samurai, but theyu don't wear any armour, so one hit and they're down. They fight in pyjamas gottamit.
they couldnt kill the knight or samurai with shurikens, possibly the pirate. a common ninja sucks in close combat, their strenght lies in assasination and shadows, ninjas kill people by posioning flowers and killing them in their sleep. maybe their greater agility would save them plenty of times but the samurai would kick their asses anytime. Unless we're talking about a real monster ninja like Ryu in Ninja Gaiden, he kills friggin battle tanks and combat helicopters.
i assume the pirate has a flintlock gun or similar, not a desert eagle. that would give him one shot, then he'd have to reload gunpowder, bullet etc. wich would leave him vournerable to anything.

mongols strengh lie in their teamplay, this is a free for all.

hmm now lets see, assume we're dealing with real examples of theese and not stereotypes.

the knight wears medium or heavy armour, most likeyly a horse and lance, shield and sword. he's lumbering and deadly

the ninja wears a black pyjamas, a katana, some shurikens, maybe a grapple too. he should aim for backstabbing and running away, one hit and he's down.

the samurai wears... well samurai armour wich would be medium or heavy, he wields a katana and a smaller knife, also some samurai had bows, though i think those samurai weren't as experienced with the sword so they used the bow instead, not sure. faster than knight but without the horse and lance to charge with.

the pirate wears pirate shirt and pants, a flintlock gun a knife and a pirate sword. his gun gives him a potential deathblow though he wears no armour.

The ninja WOULD win, and chances are it IS winning somewhere in the world. I just can't put into words how awesome ninjas are. They would win by flipping out and killing people. How hard is it to understand!?

First off, one hit could kill anyone. not just the Ninja. Ninja's arent known for brute strength, however Japanese history itself proves that ninjas outwit their honorable samurai opponents and win.
