The Way as a 3D animated film

Postby BloodLyn » Tue Nov 16, 2004 10:15 am

Lemme ask all of you just one question. Who would like to see The Way done as a 3d animated film...pixar like, with Pixar Renderman, Maya, and Cinema4D? It's something I'd definitely like to see. I have a friend who has Cinema4D and Maya, and I'm trying to get a copy of Renderman. What is your input on this, fellow crestfallen junkies :)

i've always thought a flash version of the way would be cool

or a parody flash or something, perhaps not the actual story

yipp a parody would be fun...
anyway The Way itself is an awesome story for the film but... I wouldn't like to see it misinterpreted...

I, myself would want it just like the game..except with better graphics. I wouldn't want anything added or removed from the story at all if it were to be made... Not even the dialogue between the characters. The characters would have voices and the locations could look even more amazing. It'd be like lord of the rings being put into a film, hopefully.... *thinks hard*
Hmm...is there anyone on this forum who knows anything about 3d rendering? Like Cinema4D, 3DS-Max, or Maya?

...If it's a film, wouldn't it be 4D?

Yes, but the fourth dimension is time, and who is gunna make a film that's a one shot slide show? It kinda comes with the territory of like, existing.

Rangi and I are already in the process of making a flash movie of Episode 1.

But if you can make a 3d film of it that would be cool. Although 3d isn't very cool to me.

I have a friend who has Cinema4D and Maya. If i can get 3DS-Max from a different friend of mine (wierdo won't put it onto CD for me). We may be set. He has a 64bit rendering machine, so i think that'll work out fine.

Ok, this post is taking me forever! These people on aim won't leave me alone. *moans, irritated* So, I'm gonna start working on a film script next week once i can find time to breathe, and hopefully have it finished before the end of feburary. So, yah, i'll give an update later

When I saw this, I thought "nonononononono", but thinking on it, it wouldn't actually be so bad.
