I doubt it. Are you talking about Subway stuff? If you are you can be eating either because you make your own sandwich. I'm talking about what you make at home. Or get from local places. They almost always serve Hoagies.

Nope. They don't. You make your own sandwich there.

Well let's see...the only things I eat there are...
Sweet onion chicken Teriyaki.
A ham and cheese sandwich with pickles and mayo.

Sub? Or Hoagie? And don't just say hoagie cuz you want it that way.

Hoagie sounds redneckish and after saying it you question your retardedness.

Sub is quick and easy to say, you also don't notice any drastic change in your chromosomes after saying it.

If you want to call it a hoagie, call it a sandwich. The Oversized Penis Sandwich.

It's a Hoagie. Doesn't matter how it sounds that's what it is. Just like it's gravy and not tomato sauce. Italians made it and named it that so you keep it that way. I also don't get how it sounds bad at all. It's like saying Hogan with the "an" with an "e" instead. Hoag.....e. It actually sounds pretty cool.

Hoagie.
Soda.
Gravy.

I'm curious of how a topic about new sodas could trun into a war about how to call a certain type of bread with stuff in side. Talk about off-topicness.

I usually don't care much about the "new" sodas and stuff like that. I mean, I'm alway just going to be drinking my ginger ale.

Hey, does anybody know where I can find Seaman's Ginger Ale? Actually, I can't seem to find any drinks by that company, except for a small restaurant I know near the downtown core. But it's really good ginger ale.

I don't think gravy is the same as tomato sauce, ever. Gravy is the juices that come from meat and the sauces that are made out of them.

Besides, you're not right on what to call it just because that's what it was originally called. The slime tree is known as the slime tree, but it's original name is The Tree That Rose. VERY bad example, but still. Just because it used to be one thing doesn't mean that's the only thing it can be. People made the name, and people change the name. That's how it works. If the company calls itself Subway, then they're not gonna call the sandwiches they make hoagies. Otherwise they'd be Hoagieway. Who the hell would eat at a place called Hoagieway? I wouldn't. Well maybe. Depends on how good their hoagies were. Oh, and I'm pretty sure when beef jerky was made, they didn't originally call it beef jerky. It was made a LONG time ago, so they probably said, "Mmm, derple..." because everyone knows the original name for jerky was derple. That was before existing was invented. Cuz back then names didn't have to mean anything. It could be portibala one day and zanabara the next. Because nobody could remember the names they gave things. When you were little, and you heard a word on TV you didn't know, and you went to ask what it meant, by the time it gets out of your mouth to your parents, it makes no sense whatsoever. "Mommy, what does shusuppishial mean?" When the word was originally parallelogram. See? That's how life works. Nobody means what they say, and nobody says what they should, because Seinfeld is on in five minutes. And if you think that people actually watch that show because it's funny, then take a good look at yourself in the mirror, and ask yourself, "Who am I?" It will tell you a lot. It will tell you that you are a person with no knowledge of the words soda or hoagie, and that perhaps you should rethink your life and go back to medical school to be like Fraizer. Then come to cheers, and we'll get you a drink, and Norm will make witty jokes about his wife.
Pff, gravy is gravy. That's all I gotta say on that.

Strayed: No. Tomato sauce is called gravy. Once again. Italians made it and we call it gravy. 'Nuff said. 8)

Glenn: If it was named something that's it's name,

Iteroth: I love causing these huge arguments about things I really don't care about. 8)

My dads side of the family is italian and it has never been called gravy, and the definition doesn't say it is gravy, unless it is meat sauce.

Considering it doesn't fit the definition either, I'm sure straight tomato sauce is never called gravy. If it is meat and tomato sauce it could be considered a gravy, but otherwise... no.
