OOS: I was too lazy to actually write a chapter so I guess I will just delve a bit deeper into descriptions...

IS: Fort Majiro is a fairly new fort. It was made to protect settlers from monster attacks as a place of refuge. Zent, the wealthiest of the settlers, was appointed to be its ruler, as he also had the most knowledge of the surrounding area. He is interested in the pursuit of knowledge and knows much even though he is still in his twenties. The fort consists of an outside wall. with turrets on the four corners. The entire fort, save Lord Zent's house is made with wood (Lord Zent's house was built with marble).
Inside the fort is a housing district. Though it is small at the moment and only houses a couple hundred people, there is still a ton of extra space for building more houses. Near Lord Zent's mansion is the barracks, where soldiers are trained in fighting monsters and there are by far more archers than swordsmen, as wood is very easy to find, but iron for swords is harder to find, as more monsters tend to flock towards the mines. Fort Majiro has a population of 673.

OOS: I think we should all have our respected character's, Rebeard is a feebee, I just want Taz.

IS: Trin and Quen hauled Taz and Colt over there shoulders, it was going to be a long trip at this pace, but as Lord Zent had taught them before, the virtue and saftey are more important then time. So Quen carried Taz with a smile, as Trin was nearly dragging Colt along as he moved, he wondered why he ever married Quen, they were to different.

"Quen, this is crazy" Trin said as he stopped "something will get us, just leave the bodies and let's go back to the fort! From our current time, it should onlt take us two hours!"

Quen looked up at the sky, then looked down at Trin " Have you learned nothing from Zent?" Quen said in a question, "Your being selfish, these people are alive, I can hear them breathing, they are living, they are helpless, now let's go!".

Trin kicked the dirt, and continued walking Colt, if these truly were a Shadowfoot and a Blood Lyn, what had got them? Why were they nearly dead? Quen read him silently and then said, "We will ask Lord Zent when we get home."

They walked along for an hour or so until they stopped, just to take a break, just to eat some food, nothing big, maybe to rest a little as well. They had stopped near a spring, the clear water reflected the light coming from the sky, Quen had bussied herself buy washing the bodies hair, and Trin was stuck cooking there snack, he continued until he heard Quen yelp out.

"WHAT!?" Trin exclaimed, he did truly worry for her, she has to trusting, "One of the bodies is starting to wake up!" Quen said, and turned to Colt. Trin watched as the man began to open his eyes into the sky, this was the one rewarding thing about saving people, hearing them praise you for doing it.

Colt seemed like he hadn't woken up for days, he was very slowly coming to, he had rested for a while, and it was now showing. Trin and Quen hovered over him, waiting silently for him to come aware of his position, like a baby bird emerging from it's shell after birth. Colt bolted up when he was awake, he wondered where he was, where were the monster's? "Wha-" He began, but noticed Quen and Trin, and then turned to them "Thank you.".

"Your welcome" Quen said, and then scowled at Trin, " would you like to eat something?"

Colt nodded, then asked them "I'm looking for someone, have you seen them?" and he told them about Rebeard, except for his name, saying it was classified Blood Lyn stuff. Quen and Colt said that they had only found them alone, half dead.

"Were are we going?" Colt asked them, "Fort Majiro" replied Trin, "We-" he said, but then something attacked them, it was a (What ever you fight in the mines in e4), it was quickly eat all of thier rations, and in second, all of their supplies.

"Back away!" Barked Colt, he ran it, tackled it, and stabbed it quiker then anything Quen and Colt had ever seen, though the damage wasn't done, they looked over thier food, and then to Taz. Taz was covered in blood, from his arm, the smae injury he got last night, Trin was quick to him.

"Damn" he said under his breathe, " Quen get over here!". Colt smirked, then hid it when they looked at him, "Quen, are you a mender?" he said, "A bit, I know enough to save him".

While she was bust, Trin and Colt had made a wooden stretcher for him, and soon, they were an hour away from Forst Majiro, while Taz was unconcious, he would need to see the Fort Mender.

Jacob sat unusually calm at the back of the wagon. Frash and Orie trudged along quietly, never speaking a word to each other. Qwiss and Ether equally so. Rodin, Tarick, and Yupher sat at the reigns of the wagon, occasionally exchanging short sentences with each other. Rodin still had the wound from earlier. The fort appeared over the hill.

"Well... there she is..." Tarick said generically. Other members of the wagon cave grunts of agreement.

Jacob looked over. This would be where he would stay to reorganize himself, and develop a plan of what to do next. The wagon approached the gates, which eventually rumbled aside. Forward the wagon went, until it stoped before the barracks. Zent emerged from the mansion. Rodin hopped down to meet him.

"Welcome to Fort Majiro." Zent greeted warmly, extending his hand.

Rodin met with his. "An honor to serve, milord." he said, analyzing Zent.

"The honor is mine." replied Zent, bowing. "You and your crew may call that cabin your resting quaters." he said, pointing to a mid-sized cabin.

"Much oblidged." Rodin answered, bowing.

"I'll allow you time to settle in first, then perhaps my head foreman, Loden, will see you for further instruction." Zent explained.

"Thank you sir." Rodin replied. Zent turned and headed back towards the mansion.

Tarick hopped down next to Rodin. "Seemes nice enough." he said, taking a gaze at the mansion.

"Seemes so... we'll see..." replied Rodin. The wagon travellers began to unpack. Jacob decided to take a walk around the fort.

---------------------

Zent treaded into the mansion. He was met by an old friend. "Ah... Commander Markus... you have decided to grace us with your presence."

Markus was a tall, well built man, though older. His hair was a medium shade of purple, stretched back. A beard of similar properties adorned him as well, though not enough to cover his mouth. He wore heavy, red riding armor.

"Lord Zent. It has been a while." Markus replied rather stoicly.

"Is it true what you say? That you have come to train the guards, and all who are willing to fight?" Zent asked, taking a seat.

Markus too, sat. "I will train those Lactar grubs you call guards, and even those who do not wish!" he announced.

Zent laughed a good hearted laugh. "You haven't changed a bit, old friend. Come, have a drink with me."

The two engaged in conversation.

----------------------

Louisa leaned against the bannister of the deck at the rear of the mansion. She sighed, and gazed off into the sky.

Rebeard, finally recovering from a limp he had, steped up to her. "You seem... meloncholly... milady" he observed.

"Do I? Well... I must admit..." she began.

"Are you lonely?" Rebeard said suddenly, focusing his sight on the fair lady.

Louisa seemed to gasp momentarily. "No... not that... we're surrounded by plenty of nice people... it's just..." she stopped.

Rebeard tilted his head curiously.

Louisa scanned Rebeard, and decided she trusted him. "Something's missing..."

"Missing... hmm... is it something with... Lord Zent?" Rebeard questioned further.

Louisa's eyes widened momentarily. "...Well... yes... it just seemes like..." she paused to take a deep breath, "It seemes like he's more interested in his studies than in anything else... he's a great, kind man and all, but he... he cares about everything else more than me..."

Rebeard shook his head, stepping in closer. "That's awful..."

Suddently, Zent's voice echoed from the parlor. "Louisa! Sir Rebeard! Come, we have a guest! Commander Markus is here!"

Louisa sighed, and the two decended into the mansion.

-----------------

OOS: Well, there we go. Moving things along. Don't kill off Markus or anything like that. And please refrain from dealing with the thrid situation there too much. Peace outside.

OOS: Leo...I don't agree to that idea at all. The point of a fan-fiction is that we work TOGETHER with ALL the characters. Chances are you are one of the few writers who will based solely on Taz alone, so in a way, he is going to be YOUR character. However, anyone can use him when they feel like it. (Plus, Slade might think your cheating on him.)

OOS: Leo....shut up. My answer is no, gosh darn it.

IS:

"Pass me a cola," Race said to the bartender in a loud, yet steady voice.

Race had been a guard recruit for Fort Majiro since Lord Zent first established it. He had come with his grandfather, Baron, who had passed away not too long ago. The excitement of living in a new settlement dulled with every day that passed. Now, it was boring. There was nothing worth guarding in this...place.
The door smoothly swung open. A few of the people in the tavern turned around to see what new figure had stepped through the entrance. They were shocked to see that, not only was the man new to the tavern, but he was new to all of Fort Majiro. This man was Jacob.
Jacob walked towards the bar, and sat one chair to the left of Race. Race paid him little attention, and went about drinking his cola. Jacob cleared his throat, before saying:

"Bartender, a root beer please."

The bartender smiled at this newcomer, nodded, and went about preparing the beverage. Jacob glanced over at Race.

"What do you want?" Race asked, still looking straight ahead of himself.

Jacob raised his hands in innocence.

"I want nothing from you," Jacob replied.

Jacob then outstretch a hand.

"The name's Jacob," he said.

Race looked down at the hand, and then at Jacob. He decided that it was only polite to accept the hand.

"Race," said the young guard.

That's when Selfur walked in.

"All guards meet in the barracks," said Selfur. "Commander Markus has arrived."

Race smiled to Jacob, and Jacob nodded.

"That would be me," said Race.

"So it would be," Jacob replied.

Race stepped down from his seat, and followed Selfur outside. Jacob had met someone new.

OOS: Race will probably become a bigger part of the story later on, so..you know.. I thought I'd throw him in there. Remember, do NOT touch the fact that the Uratha troops are coming. I will do that on my own accord. Now, start making entries, ladies.

Race folded his arms as the guards assembled into a distraught mess. Most were talking to each other nonchelantly, or kicking up dust out of bordem. They'd all heard about Commander Markus, about how tough of a warrior he was, about his psychotic training methods, but it seemed the mighty general was not showing up.

The sound of a door slamming rose above the commotion. The talking died down. Markus walked out infront of the group. He perused the chaotic mess. He was not happy.

"FORM UP, YOU GOOD FOR NOTHING PILES OF GRIME!!!" he shouted, sending the guards into even more chaos.

Five minutes later, the guards were in some form of organization. Markus's mouth twitched in frustration. "That... was THE MOST PATHETIC EXAMPLE OF PROPER ORGANIZATION I HAVE EVER SEEN!!!!" he barked.

"Great... boot camp..." Race muttered. The small whisper caught Markus's ear.

"YOU!" Marcus yelled, pointing at Race. Race rolled his eyes.

"What is your name, boy!?" he groweled, squinting.

"Race." he replied casually.

"Take your spear, and try and hit me!" Markus challenged, gripping his lance. The guards are glanced around nervously, occasionally mumbling bets to each other. Race shrugged, "No sweat." he said walking forward, sizing up Markus. Looks like an old man... he thought to himself, spitting out the tobacco he had been chewing.

Race started to circle, spear lowered, keying in on Markus. He brought up his spear as quick as possible, for a stabbing move. This was followed by a flash of sparks, and a large crunching sound. Race opened his eyes, trembling. With one, precise stab, Markus's lance had split Race's spear through the metal tip, and exactly up the center of the wooden shaft, to the point where Race could see his own reflection in the point of Markus's silver lance. Race gulped.

Letting out a roar, Markus ripped his lance up, sending the spear hurtling into the air. In the same motion, he whirled the lance around, charging forward at Race. Race let out a yelp, the bridgade of guards let out a gasp. There was blood.

Race looked towards the source of the beating pain he was feeling. There was the lance, plunged into his arm, through the muscle, and right down to the bone. Blood was flowing steadily down his wrist. Markus jerked the lance free, and with one swift whipping motion, freed the blood from the gleaming silver tip. He returned the lance to his side, and turned to the stunned guards.

"Let it be known now from the example of this fool, that I will not hesitate in decimating your body during training. Let the blood on the ground serve as an index to the diffilculty of to the training you will be put through." Markus announced in a business tone.

He turned to Race. "...And you should be greatful that I did not take your entire limb right off. Get your wound mended, and return here. You will train at the same pace as everyone else." he growled.

Race backed up, returning to his feet, but holding his arm. He dashed off towards the barracks.

"Now, let's go! 2000 thrusts, no resting!" Markus shouted to the rest of the guards.

OOC ~ Yeesh, man takes a day break, and he gets the rules explained to him again!

IS: Trin, Quen and Colt had finally arrived at Fort Mijaro, they walked in the front gate carrying Taz on the stretcher, Colt seemed not to care if he bumped him into walls or whatever. Quen went on blissfully ignoring the groans and comlains of Trin. When they entered, Quen told Colt that he cold walk around or do what ever, they were taking Taz to the barracks, Colt ran into the town quickly, though none of them really noticed.

"QUEN!" Yelled Trin "I am tired, can't we leave him here? someone will take him!". Quen disregarded this comment and continued carrying him, Trin was mad, but seeing his wife struggle got the better of him and he joined her.

They arrived at the barracks soon, Trin and Quen thanked the mender, and left for there home to rest, then set out again, that was there job in Majiro, they were like the nameless ambulance that saved wanderer's, this is what they did, and that is how they earned their worth.

Race saw Taz getting carried in, and thought, "Hate to be him" and went to find a free mender.
-------------------------------------------
Colt rushed to the nearest house he could find, he wasn't staying here long, but he would need a new look in search for Rebeard, and since Blood Lyn's weren't always welcome in places like this. He found an empty house with some clothes, they were a bit to big, it was decent, so he walked out into the streets.

"Where are you, you filth." Colt said to himself, he was sure he was here, he just needed to find him, and get out before the shadowfoot woke up. He walked into the town square, determined to find him, in this little time.

OOS: Yes Silent-Empath, feel free to join in. Just make sure that you've
1) Read the previous entries made so as to know the characters and story better
2) understand that you put OOS (Out of Story) before a non fictional comment and IS (In Story) before beginning your fictional entry.
3) understood that when another writer requests the other writers to stay away from a certain topic, you obey their request.

Being part of a chain fiction isn't hard once you get the hang of things. You'll have fun, I hope.

IS:

After finding Vedder, the main mender of Fort Majiro, Race became impatient. That Commander had got him once; it was now time for Race to show him who was going to be in command. Vedder was quick and to the point, putting Grassberry herbs onto the injury, and quickly repairing Race's aura structure.

"Now..." said Vedder is his slow, elderly voice,"wait an hour or so before going back out there on the training grounds. Quite a wound you have there, I must say. Be glad he didn't aim two inches upward..If he had, you would have lost the entire arm.

Race looked at the wound nervously before replying: "Glad he didn't."

Race's pride had been badly damaged. He couldn't allow that to happen again. If he did...his reputation could crumble.

--------------------------------------

Orie entered the tavern casually, knowing that he would find Jacob there. And, sure enough, there Jacob was, sitting at the bar and drinking a root beer. Orie slowly approached his fellow Wanderer, and took the seat next to him. Jacob looked over and smiled.

"Orie, isn't it?" Jacob asked.

Orie nodded.

"Aye, so it is," replied the wagon guard.

Jacob's grin got bigger.

"What is it I can do for you?" Jacob questioned kindly.

Orie sat up straight, opened up his robe, and showed Jacob the crest that he had upon his breastplate. Jacob looked down at it, and then scooted about nervously. Orie then leaned forward.

"You know of the Blood Raids," he said. "In fact, you are one. Tell me, where are the others? What happened to Xavier? Lorris? Malter? Where are they?"

Jacob looked at Orie shyly, and began his story.

-------------------------------------

Zent's household was slowly preparing for dinner. Rebeard had attempted to help set the table, but Lord Zent had gone against the idea. He had servants to do that. Louisa stood back, in what seemed to be the darkest corner in the room, just watching the servants and the two men talking. She seemed lonely.

"Commander Markus should be joining us for dinner after he is done with his first dose of training," said Lord Zent proudly. "I hope that he will not be too exhausted to have a joyful conversation with us. A cousin of mine, goes by the name of Trin, should also be a possible guest for the evening."

Rebeard smiled.

"I appreciate you taking me in so quickly, milord," he said.

Lord Zent chuckled, and shook his head.

"No problem at all, Sir Rebeard," the Lord replied. "And please, call me Zent. 'Milord' just sounds to....improper."

Rebeard cleared his throat before replying: "I understand...Zent.."

-------------------

Tecker looked over Taz's wounds quickly, and nodded to Harris.

"We'll need to mend him quickly," said Tecker. "His wound seems to be growing."

Harris gulped.

"Should I get the Grassberry herbs?" asked Harris nervously.

Tecker nodded.

"Yes," he said, "and asked Vedder to come here as well. Vedder can heal this kind of thing before you can say 'Fligg soup'."

Harris smirked, and ran off to fetch the needed items and people.

-------------------

Colt looked over at the soldiers training. They were the worst soldiers he had ever seen. Half of them didn't know how to thrust a spear correctly, and the other half could arm a bow if their lives depended on it. However, seeing them gave him memories of when he was in Lyn training. He was so excited when he first entered into the Blood Lyn. That is..until he watched his friend Hemmer get beaten nearly to death for not obeying orders. But now, Hemmer was dead. He also remembers looking at the elites, the Blood Raids, as they were called, with great respect and admiration. They could take on ten Lyns at once, slay them all, and still have energy to spare. He had wanted to join the Blood Raids, but he never got the chance to... now it was too late...

Colt shook himself back into the real world, and continued looking for Rebeard.
