1. You have four things on your list, not five.
2. You have 13 actual games on your list.
3. Chrono CROSS? What the fuck is wrong with you? Chrono TRIGGER was the good one.
4. Tales of DESTINY? What about Phantasia or Symphonia?
5. Breath of Fire 3? Where's 2?
6. Seriously, what the fuck is it with you and working out which games in a series are good?
7. And what is it with you and working out when an entire series is overrated, unbearably boring shit?
8. Have you even played FF 1-9? Not only is that pretty unlikely, but anyone who has played them all should be aware of how shit some of them are.
9. Yeah, so, in conclusion, your taste in games sucks
10. And just to end on a nice round number, I'd like to add that I hope this was all just a big mistake and you MEANT to type the good games in each series...

ToD is pretty good, actually.

Impossible:

I like BoF3 better than 2 and 4 better than 3.

Chrono Cross is a really good game. It has probably the greatest RPG music ever too.

And try to be nicer about this. 8)

Oh, and all games from Japan suck.
"You see, wire telegraph is a kind of a very, very long cat. You pull his tail in New York and his head is meowing in Los Angeles. Do you understand this? And radio operates exactly the same way: you send signals here, they receive them there. The only difference is that there is no cat." (Albert Einstein, when asked to describe radio)

You can get BoF2 on the GBA, or easily find a ROM.

And, uh... You think CC has a BETTER battle system than CT? What next? Are you gonna tell me FF1 had a good battle system?

I'm new here, now on with the list:

1. Chrono Trigger--It had a nice story, a very interesting battle system, a lot of stuff to explore, and great music and graphics (even considering it's a SNES game). CT does a really good job of being minimally linear.

2. The Way--Has one of the best and most interesting stories I have ever seen in an RPG, interesting aura and notch systems, fun Plunge system, good graphics, and nice sound. I didn't even mind (or notice, at first) this game's linearity, because The Way made me to care about its characters and story, and to feel emotion toward the important parts of the story. This could be #1 on my list when it gets finished.

3. Star Ocean--This game creates a pleasurable environment with its really good graphics and sound, and has a fun (but somewhat chaotic) battle system and interesting skill system. Has nicely-developed characters, but a so-so plot. My main problem with this game was it was short.

4. Live A Live--A somewhat underappreciated Japanese game for the SNES. The player experiences the interesting stories of various characters across several time periods, each period presenting a different general "style;" for example, a chapter resembling a kung-fu movie, or a chapter of near-future giant-robot anime. The downsides of this game are its mediocre graphics and frequent battles.

5. The Seiken Densetsu series--They're all pretty much tied in my mind. The first two (Final Fantasy Adventure/Seiken Densetsu and SoM) had more variety immediately available in their battle systems, and more tactical difficulty, and also had stories which made me feel some amount of emotion (especially the sad ending of SD1). The last two (SD3 and LoM) were simply relaxing and fun to play, with really nice music and graphics, and somewhat simple stories.

Honorable mentions for the Final Fantasy series (I personally liked FFs 3j, 5, and 7 the best), and Way of the Samurai for PS2, which I found oddly addicting.
