MAN I DONT UNDERSTAND WTF PLUNGING IS!!!!!!! I AM REALLY FAR IN EPISODE 5 AND I HAVE TO BEAT THE BLACK HAIRED DUDE IN THE FOREST. YOU KNOW THE GUY THAT DUMPED LYRRA. I CANOT BEAT HIM NO MATTER WAT. WILL SOME1 PLZ GIMME A HINT ON HOW TO PLUNGE?

Strata is the one that dumped Lyrra, but you never plunge him in a forest. Do you mean Kygar? If you absolutely can not beat him, you may need to replay some of the episodes to find more notch items and get better stats.

It is mostly chance, but things like link attacks give you some control over things which blade arts are used.

Unless, you really skipped alot of notch items, Kygar is usually pretty easy to beat, if you ment Strata though, he is very hard even with the max stats, but he is optional so if you can't win, just move on.

My original stats (the ones I will use to play the next episodes) are only average and Kygar was a wuss.

I had to skip Strata though.

Use Plunge Skill diminishing blade arts in your strongest link slot, that always helps.

What would "Average" be? The first time I had a Plunge of 8, and I was able to beat Kygar with some difficulty (actually, I got a Step 4 the first time, heh, but I was never so lucky after that); I backed up a bit, raised my Plunge rating to 10, and managed to beat Strata through an act of God.

I think the max plunge is 16, And at that point, the Strata battle usually doesn't last more then 3 turns, win or lose. I have never been able to beat him without a step 4.

My plunge was 18, if yours was till higher then that, i must have screwed up because I was pretty sure I had max stats.

My plunge is 17 and I have a lyn rock. Were you able to absorb all of your notch items before plunging Strata?

I think I had pretty good stats. Strata was easy, thanks to a Risk Drop slash w/burning edge against a Risk cross sweep. I got a first round 4-step injury on Kygar. Also, how many topics has Mastermack made for the same request?
