Nah. its better if you try to keep this game the way it is in as many aspects as possible. i hate games that send huge segments of nonstop battles at me, and then back it up with a crappy storyline.

The 'final boss' isn't even a standard battle. There are... 4 compulsory fights in the whole game. None of them are hard.

Or the game doesn't incorporate a certain "level" status to be able to overcome evil. Plus the final boss is more based on your keyboard skill rather than your earned levels.

so...here's a couple of questions from my standpoint. I haven't playe the old games, but from what i've read of ppl, I think I have a vague understanding of the genre. Now, one question, is should I write some new music from scratch, or revamp the old midis and whatnot.

Another question, is if we're going to use the same midis, well, could someone zip them up, and e-mail them to me?

Either way, I need to know what kinda music you guys are planning on using if i'm going to write new things.

I would go for anything original you can muster, Vaylos. Characters did have "themes", but those were pretty trivial and aren't really a staple of the game or anything. You are free to rewrite any old ones you'd like, though.

Don't worry, Ehrgeiz. the main reason Jeramyu and I are remaking these games is not only to enhance the gaming experience with new technology, but also to enable everyone to play the games.

Vaylos, i agree with Jeramyu. Do what you'd like for the game's score (soundtrack, that is). Although, it would be cool to have some revamped classics alongside new music.
