I imagine this was just a spelling error. Lun is not the world's best speller, and this is an incredibly common mistake. (Do a Google search for "harbringer"; there are lots of hits, esssntially all of which look they're related to spelling mistakes.)

Impossible wrote:"The Man from Xor", it honestly couldn't be anyone else - the Rhue theory is stupid

I agree that this probably means Gaius, but I on the other hand, I am absolutely certain that Lun intended this to be ambiguous at this point, potentially meaning either Rhue or Gaius.

I thought the Harbringer was the person doing the killing, and the harbinger was the person who got killed, or somthing like that.

Indeed, I ALREADY mentioned the difference between Harbinger and Harbringer. Harbringer is most likely a pun.

If it is was a pun, I didn't get it. Whenever I see "harbringer," I automatically assume it's a typo now. It's an incredibly common spelling mistake, and lots of people don't even realize it's wrong.

If it was supposed to be two different words, that explains why I couldn't figure out what those explanantions were supposed to be about. :)

Heh, Impossible. You and I agree on that one thing, at least.

Yeah, Gaius does seem to act like he's playing both sides of the Guided while being unharassed by the Blood Lyn when he obviously left (Kloe was his bed-buddy there). Alagast...*ahem* Trazuin remarked that Kalmar did nothing to stop Gaius from leaving (He has a purpose in mind). Lyn hate Guided, and Gaius hasn't shown much kindness by tearing the Guided apart. While Gaius is Kalmar's Perfect Blade, the PS seems to be Tetzel's answer to the blade. The PS kills rebels (Sacrifa and his men were attacked), it kills morally wrong people (Bandits, sluts, Shadow Lords). His whole thing with protecting Rhue may either make Rhue Tetzel's unwilling PS (Or even willing, but on a subconsious level), and Tetzel has a higher purpose with leading Rhue to him.

Funny how the word "Purpose" Keeps showing up :P

Heh, I'm starting to like your theories a lot, Amgard.

DSOK, get your head out of your ass. BOTH THE HARBINGER AND HARBRINGER HAVE BEEN MENTIONED IN THE WAY INTENDED BY LUN AND SAID BY THE SAME PERSON. It's not a typo. The Harbringer is the executioner, the harbinger is the one sentenced to die. I said that ALREADY.

The Phantom Slasher doesn't kill ONLY rebels and people with moral shortcomings. According to that person in Lide (the only mention of it that's ever really been made), the Phantom Slasher often spares young children, and that's it. While on the subject of Gaius, the Guided and the Blood Lyn, this is a link to a theory of mine on that subject, amongst other things: http://www.crestfallen.us/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=848. Just thought I'd link to it here, since it's relevant.

Also, it's kind of a minor thing, but... I know that 'sluts' is in reference to Cherla, the Arastotzi who had two entire scenes in Episode IV, one right after another, but why have I always heard her mentioned in that way? I mean, yeah, she came onto Rhue at The Scene after listing his accomplishments with the Blue Scarves and on the Jopaga mission, but she seemed more like she was just a combat groupie. After she left The Scene, some Shadow Lords were about to rape/kill her, then the Phantom Slasher showed up. So, where does the slut thing come from? I just don't see it.

Listen, dumbass. Where did you get the impression that I didn't understand this when you said it? All I said was that the distiction was not effectively portayed for me in the game.

I understand perfectly what you have said. The reverse evidently does not apply.

Well, you sounded like you were just ignoring him and saying Harbringer was a spelling mistake to me, so I'm sure he could misunderstand it just as well.

I didn't misunderstand ****. You're being ignorant of evidence clearly stated in the game. I'm sure maybe a God would know more about The Way than Lun, but you're yet to realise you're not one.
