I agree, people are looking into this way to much. They are about to plunge, not much time to talk anyway.

Plus, Rhue may not want to be recognized as "that creepy guy who said he was from Landorin."

Hmm, isn't Therin from the Xor strtch? And Sacrifa mentioned something about a 'man from Xor' who was leading the rebels until Sacrifa could arrive...

Well, it might be a long shot, since it's probably just a plain coincidence, but Lun has proved that there quite often aren't such a thing as a coincidence. I don't know what Therin could have to do with the Guided, but he was rambling something about the Purpose when you first met him on the Way, wasn't he?

I was looking through the Wanderer's Guide Book a little while ago and it said that a Wanderer calls as his home stretch a place that has some importance to him. So, I have to wonder, since the conversation has shifted in this direction, why Gaius decided to claim Xor as his home stretch. Not that there's any definite evidence to say for sure, but what exactly makes it so special to him?

Come to think of it, do we even know there is a Xor? The only people who used it were Gaius, which he might just use as a cover, and Rhue, who heard it form Gaius and did use it as a cover.

No, but we don't know there's a Nelin either. I am inclined to believe that Xor is probably a real place, even if really had no special significance for Gaius. We know it's supposed to be very, very bad luck (I would say taboo) to rename a stretch; since its impossible to modify a waypost, this could well be intended to mean that it's unlucky to call your home stretch by anything other than its proper name.
