why is there a fork in lexuses death!?

in 'the way 4', if you go to the scene where lexus dies, theres a fork condition where lexus, if her attraction is higher than ten, than her purserur comes through the door instead, and rhue kills him, instead

but an in game note sayes that unless the secret black switches are on evreything will be screwed up,

was this exeremental, or impossible to actually carry out, or can you actually do this? (looking from the search results this dsen't seem to have happend before)....

any awnser?

I think it was possible to save Lexus in the first version of the game, but this was removed in later versions.

i think that it was origionall possible to save her but lun changed his mind. i know my relationship with her was at the best it could be and she didn't kick the bucket

Lun probably wanted to repeat a second Aeris rumor threadmill like with FFVII when it was first released. You couldn't make it to any games site on the web without hearing rumours about how to keep her alive/revive her.

I don't think it was intentional in later versions. In the end, it was probably just easier to leave in the excess programming and isolate it.

I agree. Lun obviously originally planned to have Lexus survive, then, for some not entirely understood reason (emotional impact*, overall plot direction, complications involved with keeping track of her), he decided it would be best that she die, then just didn't take out the coding, possibly just to give people a look at what was (like how the original ending of Episode V is still in there, just not accessible).

* If this doesn't make sense to you (I can't imagine why...), then think about Celes and Cid of Final Fantasy VI (or III, if you must). The game just has a much greater impact and effect if Cid dies and Celes, as a result, tries to kill herself than if he survives and possesses no meaningful role for the rest of the game, while Celes feels nothing remotely like that feeling of anguish. Obviously, it's not exactly the same thing (Rhue still has the hope of finding Serena to cling to), but you get the gist.

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply Lun left it in intentionally. I was just refering to the fact that it's caused the same result. Whether or not it was intentionally doesn't really matter at all. But then again, Lun puts lots cool of stuff to find in the code that has been put there intentionally, so it's still a posibility, although remote.

I dunno about you guys, but after Lexus dies and Rhue is walking around in the rain (when you get to plunge with Rosmar in the market area) I saw Lexus running in the grassy wilderness above the city. So, she isn't dead for me, unless.... IT'S A DOPPELGANGER!!! Which I highly doubt.

If what Sohrya said was true about her though, she's a crazy psycho bitch and I really don't care whether or not she lived or died.

That happens in everyones game, their are two more places were that happens. One is at the plunge agenst Strata in the end of EP4, don't remember what the other one was, but the important thing is that she is transperant. Which means it might be somthing along the lines of a ghost. We don't know what it means though.

It could be her ghost, yeah. I've always taken it as a sign that Rhue is beginning to really lose his marbles, so he's seeing things. Such a traumatic event, especially happening so soon after Jopaga's formula loosened the ties between Rhue's body and soul (which likely had some side effects, psychological or otherwise), would probably cause anyone to start coming apart at the seams.

Then again, it's possible, though unlikely, that Rhue's sword didn't handle the Aura absorption in the same way that it has with other people (possibly because it can only take in so many aura "meals" at a time, and it was still "digesting" what it got from Cade; or perhaps because Rhue seems to have felt so differentally towards her than he's felt with others), so it... well, ejected bits of Lexus's aura after a little while, which appeared as transparent images of her to Rhue. I don't really like this theory as much as the other since it involves quite a large number of things that we don't know too much about. Then again... One never knows.

I think it was that seeing those scenes raise your relationship with her, not sure though.

I checked it in rm2k and they doesn't affect the relationship with Lexus at all.

Were was the second place you see her? Theres one in the north east section of Estrana, and at the end of EP4 in the arena, but I can't remember were the other one is.
