Hello and welcome to several months ago.

I haven't seen it before, I thought it was good.
And the Lord said unto John, "Come forth and receive eternal life." But John came fifth and won a toaster.

I can't watch it because I'm on the linux computer and I have NO IDEA what I'm doing.

I did manage to get Shockwave on the computer though.

You need an AVI codec, I don't know which ones are made for Linux.

The guide=my bible.
I heard about the movie and I went "Oh jesus, they're going to screw it up."
Then I saw the trailer.
Awesome.

There's a different one on the official website though.
Damn shame he died early.

I'd prove you wrong, but considering the fact that you're a registered idiot, I'm sure everyone already ignores everything you say.

I'd like to hear some more about linux though. I've been content with my windows all my life. It might be nice to know how you linux users think. all 3 of you.

Linux is pretty safe from viruses and hackers and shit. I guess because most of the mindless sheep use Windows, but maybe Linux really is more secure. I dunno.

It's also good for hosting servers. Like irc servers, jabber servers, illegal ftp servers. Any kind of server. I don't know how, just that all those nifty programs for hosting servers work better with Linux. And you don't even need a good computer. Just a bunch of memory and a good internet connection.

And it's a lot prettier than Windows. Maybe just the version that I'm using, but it sure is hella tight.

Yeah, it is sort of overrated. As a main computer no, not if you're a gamer. But if you need security or you just want to check your e-mail without being forced to download tons of viruses embedded in seemingly harmless jpgs, Linux is just right for you.

As it is I only have it on my old crappy computer. This thing has a 137 Mhz processor. Hah. I scoff at myself. Hah.

Bill's right on. Linux boxes are typically known for their reliability. One of the reasons I chose to host crestfalllen.us here was because they use Red Hat.

The customization of most distributions can get quite complicated (like finding those cursed drivers)... but the customization is what makes people favor linux/unix distros.

As for security, it's debatable that linux is more security through obscurity... that an average user wouldn't know how to customize security settings and would therefore be just as vulnerable as a MS OS, but most average users wouldn't be brave enough to try linux out anyway.

If you could, I'd recommend trying it out on an old PC (or on another partition). From what I understand, Linux is just a candy coating ontop of Unix... kindof like Windows 3.1 just ran ontop of DOS.

I'd say they're more work to set up, and sometimes more mental work to customize, but at least you have customization options... and a (typically) Free alternative to MS.

I have a teacher at my school with an iBook (like my laptop but not as good) who calls students PC sheep. He's lots of fun.
