Rosmar

Postby RentACop » Sat Mar 12, 2005 10:27 pm

Is it possible to beat him in episode 4? I've fought him a little less then twenty times, and only knocked him into the red once. He doesn't seem to have any exploitable weaknesses as far as I can tell. Or maybe my stats just suck(I have no clue):
HP:102
Plunge: 7
Threshold: 12
Critical Hit : 3
Critical Strength: 6
Strides: 7

Anyway at this point, I'm friggin sick of fighting him, so could someone tell me/is there a method of gimping his stats with RPGMaker?

It's most certainly possible. I defeated him with a Plunge stat of 7 and 76 hit points... you just need to get lucky, is all.

You can edit his stats - open the game with RM2K and press F9.

Ah. Could you be a bit more specific beyond that point?

Keep on going right, past the 900 Switches and into the Variables section. Variable 131 is what you want - lower Rosmar's Plunge stat of 9 down.

Ah, thanks! I felt guilty for a second there, but watching his blood spill filled me with the sort of catharsis that you'd usually have to pay a therapist for.

Okay, I don't know what that meant either but I really enjoyed finally pasting his ass.

If your having that much trouble with Rosmar, just wait until you get to Strata...

XD

Sage is right, but Rosmar's exaggerating quite a bit when he says Strata is twice as strong as him.

True, but he was absolutely right when he told Rhue there's no way he can win against Strata in the tournament.

You ain't kidding, he killed me with one pass! I decided to roll with it though, considering it didn't end the game when I lost.

When I said that, I ment the plunge were you can beat Strata.

Okay, I'm almost at the end of chapter 5 and I'm pleased and dismayed that my initial "Rhue is a freaking psychopath" hypothesis was correct.

And I'm actually having an easier time on this Strata than on Rosmar, though I haven't made more than two attempts so far.

What's making you so certain that you're near the end of E5? That makes no sense... You've still got a long way to go from Slade, in fact.

Hmm, I guess you're right. For some reason this whole Strata situation screams "CLIMAX" to me. I guess I should've learned by now, I can never tell when these episodes are going to end so why would this one be any different.
