The Way Timeline

[Impossible]

In my novelization-related exploits I decided to write a timeline of The Way, so here's what I've got so far:

Episode 1
Day 1 – Rhue meets Therin, catches Swiftfoot, attacked by Strata, Dana and Wes join, attacked by headhunter, spends night in settlement.
Day 2 – Rhue steals back Swiftfoot, Traziun joins, goes through cave, Gaius joins, meets Lyrra’s fist, approached by Phantom Slasher at night.

Episode 2
Day 3 – Rhue wakes up, travels with Lyrra, hurts Rosmar, reaches Lide, spends night at inn.
Day 4 – First day of tournament, Rhue goes to cave, saves Alan, spends night at inn.
Day 5 – Second day of tournament, Rhue, Traziun and Kloe fight Cetsa and Kygar, meet Scatha.
Day 6 – Rhue knocks out Kloe, runs from Lide.

Day 7 – Rhue goes through Marna Stretch, reaches Turnway, fights Blue Scarves, sees pendant, gets captured.

Episode 3
Day 8 – Slade frees Rhue, they go to Blood Lyn base, Rhue is knocked into Pits by Strata.
Day 9 – Scatha joins Rhue, Rhue leaves Pits, Traziun rejoins, they go to Battlegrounds, Kloe sentenced to death.

Episode 4
Day 10 – Rhue, Kloe and Traziun escape Matalan and run through the forest from the Blood Lyn.

Day 11 - They reach Estrana, Rhue meets Lexus, they go to Shadow Inn, Lexus is “captured”, Rhue stays at Casino.
Day 12 – Rhue goes to courthouse, spends day in mine with Kloe and Dirk, spends night in new Casino room from Arastotzi.
Day 13 – Rhue meets Stoyko, goes to marketplace for test, plunges Ansgar, spends night in Casino room.
Day 14 – Rhue wins tournament qualifiers, goes on Shadow Lord Mission, kills Jopaga, meets Entrego, stays yet again in the Casino.
Day 15 – Rhue’s match against Rhorn is canceled, Rhue talks to Lexus about Serena, Rhue meets Rosmar and Lexus loses her match, Rhue, Lexus and Slade fight hordes of Blood Lyn and rescue Kloe, Traziun and Kloe talk, Rhue and Stoyko go to Sacrifa’s house, Rhue spends night with Kloe in Casino.
Day 16 – Rhue wakes up late, goes to party at The Scene, goes on final mission, kills Lexus, talks to Cetsa, Phantom Slasher kills Arastotzi, Rhue spends night at inn.
Day 17 – Rhue goes to Plunge Strata.

Episode 5
Day 17 – Rhue loses Plunge with Strata, Traziun intentionally loses tournament and blows up Blood Lyn, Rhue tries to save Cetsa, Estrana is destroyed, Rhue, Cetsa, Kloe and Dirk escape Estrana, go through Laodicea Stretch and plan to spend the night at a tent there, Rhue and Cetsa are about to talk, Slade shows up and Plunges with Rhue.

Day 18 - Shadow guy appears and Plunges Rhue, Rhue sees some of Slade's memory, Stuff happens at Blana Sera Temple with Strata, Lyrra and Slade, Rhue finds himself in The City and meets Midian, wakes up in Blana Sera territory, escapes from prison, Rhue, Cetsa, Dirk and Scatha spend night trapped in the temple area, where he returns to The City.
Day 19 - Rhue kills lots of Blood Lyn, Traziun has his Blood Lyn Brawl and learns the truth about his mother, Rhue goes with Dirk and Scatha to find Tetzel, they meet Gaius, Cetsa Plunges Strata, Rhue and co. spend night in forest.
Day 20 - Rhue goes after Gaius to the End of the Way, kills Lyrra, reaches a place that looks like Landorin, and Gaius makes his big revelation.

Some notes - When you reach Marna Stretch and after the Plunge with Slade, it mentions days having passed, but we don't know how many, and nothing story-related happened in them.
E4 was the hardest one to do because I actually had to follow most of the game's story in RM2K to work out where all the switches were set and how many actual nights passed.
E5 I wasn't sure about - I'm guessing no time passed between Estrana and Laodicea, and I may have made some assumptions around Day 17, but it should be right.
Edit: E3 is also uncertain. I assumed that the day probably had to change at some point, and when Rhue fell into the pits (and had a dream from Jed's memory) seemed to be the most appropriate time.

So E6 will reach Day 20, which is some kind of milestone to some weirdo, I'm sure. >_>

This should be really useful. It'll be nice to have a way to get virtually all of the major events organized in terms of time like this. And, about the transition from Ruined Estrana to Laodicea, I personally thought that a few days passed. Then I checked it in RM2K, as you probably did, and verified that there wasn't any message stating that days had passed since the group left, so you're likely correct in presuming that no significant amount of time passed.

Some people could also debate how long Rhue actually spent in the Pits (some could argue that he was down there for less than a day, or more than two, since it isn't totally clear, which you kind of implied with the question mark), but, in all ways that really matter, it's very good at getting all of the 'action' days right on the mark.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that at the end of my last post with the notes thing - Day 9 was very uncertain. Firstly, there's no evidence at all that night passed then. I'm fairly sure there was no darker screen tone to suggest the evening in the screen before (a mistake, IMO - but IIRC some screens earlier around the Blood Lyn camp looked dark), and we obviously don't see the sun.
However, I refuse to believe all of E3 takes place over one day. Rhue mentioned not having any rest since Turnway, it seemed to imply it was late in the same day. It is also after falling into the Pits Rhue has Jed's memory, presumably as a dream. So I'm guessing that was the next day, unless the almighty Lun wants to come and make that part make some sense.

I think there's probably at least one whole between days 16 and 17. We don't have an external indication of how long Rhue is unconscious, while Strata and Lyrra seem to have progressed a fair distance (with Slade's body) before we see them again.

She says "a day or less", so I guess how it is now works.

Great idea to do timeline though. It's good to check back on the main points of the game and yeh.

Good job, Impossible. I think when you get to Laodicea, it syays "Hours later..." I assumed all that stuff happened on the same day. Estrana in the morning, Laodicea in the evening.

If we get get really pedantic about it, then "Days later.." by definition is 2-6 days later, as if it was more than six days it'd be week(s), and "Days" means more than one.

In other words I have nothing to contribute but enjoy typing.

There are two. Before Marna and after Laodicea. That's all.

I agree with you there, but then again, we don't know whether his sword had anything to do with the huge advancement of his skills.

Impossible see if you can keep editing that first post as more info comes in. What you have here is very usfeul post to anyone wondering and even to Lun. (trust me as a writer it can be a pain keeping track of days to make sure seaons change in right places.) Good work keep it up.
