It's debatable that December 12, 2012 was what the Mayans would call the end of the world. It's simply the final day of the Mayan calender. Considering the Mayan calender is cylical (as was many things in their belief system) I would call it simply the end of an age, and December 13th would be a new beginning.

Yeah, I'm not sure what thought processes could possibly lead you to such a conclusion. So, thursday just before midnight becomes the thirteenth, and that rolls over into friday? Juh?
