Not near you, but you hear about them constantly and they happen. Hibbing probly has 1 stabbing a year. Everyone probly lives on the same block. :lol:

I almost got stabbed once. They were the same age as me too. Thank god I can run fast, otherwise you probably wouldnt be hearing from me.

Actually, Glenn, I live about 6 blocks from the State Fair Grounds. :3
I go to school in on eof the riner crackhouse districts, as well.

And it's far worse in Minneapolis.
There' a 60% High School drop out rate, and a gang related fatality every three days.

I feel your pain, man, but things will only get worse if you:
a) go to college
or
b) move to a city

But...I like college...it kicks so much more ass than highschool....moving out....the dorms....hearing the chicks nextdoor getting some (i'm an audiophile) albeit that gets old after about the third time I get woken up >_< Er....anyhoo, college rawks.

I just moved from San Francisco(I lived outside the city but I was always there) to Miami. Big city life isn't as bad as it's cracked up to be. I don't think I could ever take it if I lived anywhere that wasn't city-like.

It's worse than Hibbing. Go to Baltimore or Philly, they get bad. Miami isn't too bad.

One stabbing a year? Try one every 2-3. We're actually a pretty large town in comparison to some of the hick towns around us (Cherry Minnesota) but bad things weren't happening until about 3 years back.
