The Way Survivor, Day 4 - Stupidity loves company

[Porter]

"That was sooo cool, Chip getting his wanker cut off," Porter said
"Well, I see it right now, it's tiny," Jeramyu said.
"Ugh, that's sick, I bet it still hurt though," Porter replied.

The three heroes were well into a desert 2 hours later when they came upon a fork in the road. Two signs pointing in opposite directions. Both reading "The Strings Of Life"

"......................are you fuckin serious?" Porter said.
Iteroth just fainted at the sight of this strange sign.
"Well guys, it's sooo obvious what we do," Iteroth begun, "Since the two signs are pointing left and right, we go straight, because if you go left, you'd eventually come out right, because that's around the world. See? See?"

Porter and Jeramyu looked blankly at Iteroth.

".............." Iteroth looked back, "I'm stoned."
"Well, it's obvious we won't be making a move anytime soon, let's setup camp here." Jeramyu said, "I hope everyone has their water."
"I have my water-bong, MWAAHAHA," Iteroth said ".............ok I'll shutup."

At nightfall, Jeramyu was still thinking about the puzzle at hand to reach the strings of life. Porter was fast asleep and Iteroth was hard at work catching butterflies of his imagination. That was put to rest after being stung by a scorpion.

"Thank god, that'll slow the hallucinating weirdo down a bit," Porter said.

Morning came and no answer came to the three heroes, except Iteroth, his brilliant go left to right idea still seemed very clever to him.

"Well guys, it looks like there's no way out until we solve this thing." Jeramyu said.

"Unless you talk to the one and only dirk!"

The three heroes looked around, and there was a man standing there.
"Who?" Porter said
"you don't know me? I'm known around the world as dirk!" Dirk replied. "And I know where the strings of life are."
"How do we get there?" Porter said.
"The signs are a circle, you just go le...." Dirk said.

At that point, Iteroth regained consciencness, he saw dirk, holding a knife up, Iteroth struck and killed Dirk.

"ITEROTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Porter yelled.
"What? He was evil!" Iteroth said, "I couldsee right through him, I'm like god!"
Porter threw a rock at iteroth and knocked him out cold.
"Now what Jeramyu?" Porter said.
"oh my god........" Jeramyu said.
"What?" replied Porter.
"Iteroth was right, did you hear what he said? Go in a circle?" Jeramyu said
"whoops, I may have killed our savior, but let's take him to make sure he does wake up." Porter said back.

Porter and Jeramyu picked up Iteroth and continued on their journey, to the left of the sign.
