I'm told Ahriman's Prophecy is good. Can't see it myself, but supposedly almost all the material is original. The battle system is vaguely similar to Zelda, but has serious balance issues. You'll be stabbing bees in the face and then a screen up a snake will kill you in one hit.

In TTHW, does anyone know what's up with the green arrow in the Ice Cave? What am I supposed to do with that? There's no resources on the web.

If you meen the one in the Berkly cave area near the and of the game, you need to move the tiles around until the arrow is facing the other direction.

While we're still on topic, can someone tell me where to find the following game:

A four-player RM2k game. You can select from 4 classes, 2 genders, and the way the game works is that you play for 20 minutes, and when your turn is over you give it to the next person.

ABL and The Way are definite winners in my book. TTHW is getting lots of praise and I was wondering where I could find it?

No, thats definatly not Fantasy Battle, it was 2 players simaltaniously, and didn't have a gander choice. Think it had more classes too.

You can find TTHW on Gaming World. Its probably at Queen's Court too, but I haven't seen it there.

This is the link to one of the most amazing rm2k games apart from the way, if you're intrested in playing a fangame.
I've seen the trailer now and I have to admit it: 3D backgrounds have been done by Lun. But actually home made Anime sequences...? That's something I've only seen in Nigsek. The quality of this game exeeds anything I've seen b4, apart from The Way.
The story seems to be classic final fantasy but with a nice personal touch.

The only rm2k game in germany to get the cheat codes to be anounced in an actual tv videogame show. Which goes to say it's a hit game.

Looks very cool, the FF game, but guess what? He didn't make those anime stuff himself. On the title screen, I notice:

Ed, Hughes and (I think) Lust of Full Metal Alchemist.
The three characters that look more like artwork are from Final Fantasy Tactics.

The other guy I don't recognize.

Any idea when this will be ready for download?

I've got a very old demo which shows the progress these guys made, if you compare it to the screenshots and trailer they just released. And I have to admit that this demo already was (gameplay wise and visually) stunning. So even if half of this game is ripped from ff games, I wouldn't give a damn about that fact. They use it in a very good way, they've showed pretty professional maps and cut scenes already, while adding some custom stuff to give a professional feeling to it.

'bout the anime, I noticed that there are some char's from the ff tactics series too, but the scene in which that 'knight' slashes downwards with his sword with the pink flashing background, that's custom made anime if you ever seen one
Even if they add cutscenes from existing series... I'm doing it too. Why not? If it's decent quality and helps to get the mood right?

The site's pretty well done, and so are the screenshots, judging from them I'd say they're pretty far in the final stages of releasing more then just a mere demo, but the actual first chapter as a whole. If you want the first demo, I'll send it trough mail or msn... but do notice that the music doesn't work (at least for me). It is added in the music folder though, and it's of good quality ^_^.

I'm not saying he shouldn't use existing anime clips, just wanted to mention that his characters aren't unique. Also, combining high quality anime with his own is probably not the best idea, but I'll take a look.

There's another fanfic game out there called Koruldia Pokemon.
It's a weird apeshit like experience, but a fun try anyhow... it features hentai and a lot of gore, but it's not the thing colt pulled with 'evil within' series. It's actually a more serious pokemon for adolecents. Bi-sexual issues, older woman falling for younger boys, human experiments, and actual cursing and bloody fights. I dig it... don't ask me why, but I like the approach. The only thing that might spook players is the custom artwork, it doesn't really fit the pokemon feeling that well... but it's pretty sweet artwork nonetheless...
The reason I brought this up is that this is also a french game (frenchies are catching up quickly ) but it's being translated in english!
Possibly the creators of FF0 will do the same. They already have a pretty huge fanbase ever since they made their first demo public. It wouldn't amaze me if they'd be translating it before the first release of chapter 1.

In any case download Koruldia and have a blast with the weirdest Pokemon fangame ever ^_^ a really good attempt at a semi professional game. (side note: they're actually planning to release it on gameboy cartridges... LUN TALK TO THESE PPL! I WANNA PLAY THE WAY ON MY GBA TOO!! ^_^)
BTW IMPOSSIBLE... I'm warning you, don't bash this post cuz somebody touched pokemon, or tried something new with a really known franchise.
Give them a break, it's called artistic freedom. (same goes for square america ^_^ and here we goes again :p Yeah I like provoking ya ^_^)
