Well, I don't mind newbies coming at all. Everybody is a newbie at first. Still, I usually lurk around for a couple of days/weeks in new communities, reading some posts, getting to know the tone of people, what they've already said and not said. After that, I register and start posting.

If the newbie just has a question I can understand him posting right away though and there's nothing wrong with that at all.

Hey fwacho, here's an idea! Why not make a special forum for noobies ^_^ I'm not trying to diss any of them, but being thrown in here with Impossible is most likely to get rid of possible fans before they even get to say anything... Impossible and some of the others are like raging pitbulls defending their turf... let's give them a break and try to seperate them before anyone gets hurt. U might call it the first plunge or something and introduce some of the widely spread theories and make the noobies talk about that first before they try and come on estrana...

There are smart newbies...

They just don't come here. 90% of our newbies post crap and/or useless and/or ancient theories, which half of the time aren't even theories.

sounds liek a good idea. you could call it ... "Lide (for those new to game)" or something like that. I'll recommned it to Lun next time I communicate with him.

Umgawa to me... Lide seems like a good name since we're busy with town names anywho (though 'town of three trees would be fun too :lol:

or what was that name again?)...

They are not good for anything, dammit!

The settlement didn't actually have a name yet, Three Trees was just a suggestion. It would be more appropriate than Lide anyway, though...

and when those newbies'll gain access from Lide to Estrana? if this'll be bind with post count, they'll go total blablalbayabayabayaba just to come to Estrana, and asc those "help me, what is Harbringer?" or "I know, Gaius IS PS!!" or even worse.

Actually I would suggest simply asking to newbies to post on that forum until they had time to catch up on reading Estrana. this will keep pointelss posts down and encourage real discusion among the newbies
I would not disallow them from Estrana, but simply ask them to read up first before posting in it.

How sweet it is, the world without pointless posts! Nice, but there not so many newbies... and many of them'll prefer to stay here. you must asc them VERY VERY convincingly!
