what are you talking about?

I was thinking the exact same thing..

Nerx, what gives you the impression the Gaius can't be manipulated by anyone and is in complete control? When he touches Kloe in Ep 4, and appears to see what she did (I'm assuming), he says "Don't come near me again or I'll have to kill you." Or something to that effect. That implies to me that he has some duty, some purpose that he has little control over. Also the way he talks to Rhue at the end of Ep 5 "You cannot be allowed to continue" or something like that, implies again that he has a purpose he's following. I don't think that Gaius is making all of his decisions on his own.

He can't have chosen Gaius for no reason, he must have had some signifigance prior to training.

Yeah, that was EP5, not EP4.

Was that Ep 5? Yeah, you're probably right. Sorry about that.

okay, next stupid thougt:
Gaius is Kalmar's perfect blade, right? He must obey his order etc...
And Kalmar is Blana Sera...
And after Kalmar's death Traziun was saying: Oh my head, it's hurt, something eating into my head!
The theory is Traziun is new Blana Sera, it was them eating into his head! So Gaius must listen to his new master! (there is some evidence of this - at the Fortress (in ep5) when you meet Gaius, Rhue says: "Gaius is acting different". He changed, because his master changed.

Are you being sarcastic? I just can't tell.. Maybe Kalmar was the old perfect blade, and his father before him ect, but Traziun didn't want to be one, so Kalmar picked Gaius?

Actually Traziun could be the new Blana Sera.. he does think death is the only way.. but I doubt it..

i wasn't sarcastic, i'm saying, that Gaius is under Traziun cortrol and he wants Rhue's shadow sword (if it IS shadow sword) coz Traziun wants it.

Hmm... Its different, but it sort of does make sense. Maby the reason Gaius wants the sword is because he is actually being honest about everything and he just wants to help Rhue because Traziun is really close friends with Rhue, sort of like some kind of sub-concious command.

Gaius being the PS would make a lot of sense, simply because the Gaius face set fits that PS face perfectly. It has to be either him or Rhue, after what happened at the end of part 5.

Just because the faceset fits doesn't mean anything. The faceset could easily have been a red herring and you all will feel really stupid when (or if) it turns out to not be Gaius.

There is much evidence that the PS is Gaius though, but I think the perfect blade = the phantom slasher, and there have been many perfect blades.

We know that Lun laughs the faceset/sprite comparison theories. It's not a good sign.

Time to kill another thread

Postby Antagon » Sun May 01, 2005 1:02 am

Gaius is and isn't the PS... the PS is just his evil in a form the illuminati forces out of him..?
Least thats what I'm assuming his sword is, his attack in the end of 5 suggests it...

It always does seem to be keepin a certain distance behind him.

And as far as perfect blades go, I always thought Kalmar's to be Gaius. Since when Traziun asked if "the other" is his perfect blade, Kalmar got all silent. I figured he'd just say "Alagard you are a fool!" or some such if Traziun guessed completely wrong. Unless what I said was true and Kalmar's perfect blade is in fact, as some have said, the PS, which is Gaius's shadow? So technically Gaius IS the perfect blade, but isnt?

If Gaius is the phantom slasher why do killings occur even when he isn't around?

I'm guessing the charset that you see as the phantom slasher is really what Rhue used to look liked before he took that guys soul or whatever.

Actually, Gaius IS around for every PS killing except the first one. That's part of the major evidence for him being the PS. He was in the camp (or just in it) at the end of EP 1 when the PS sees Rhue, he was nearby when Rhue and Traziun find those dead people in Ep 2, he was in Estrana when the PS kills people, and he was en route to Tetzel's place when those Guided are killed by the PS in EP 5.
