The R and U in Traziun's Signature Slash are done with, unless I missed something from checking just now, two and three slashes respectively. Using my counts for both:
Traziun - 17 slashes
Gaius - 15-16 slashes (using all caps; 15 if the 'outer' part of the 'G' is done with diagonals (4 slashes), and 16 if it's done with slashes at 90 degrees to each other (5 slashes))
EDIT: And I see Sage of the Wise beat me to the punch. Oh, well.
Either way, Traziun gets more slashes in than Gaius. However, it's kind of a pointless argument, since I don't think the difference in number is great enough to make a difference if Gaius's strikes are stronger than Traziun's (I mean, it could make the difference in real life, presuming both fighters' blows are enough to instantly kill the target, but in terms of damage...).
Of course, it's mostly a moot point, since Gaius doesn't, as far as we know,
have a Signature Slash; he has Inner Darkness. And, unless Lun decides to change the stats on that ability for Episode VI, the statistics on both it and Signature Slash are shown below:
Signature Strike
- Hit Chance: 8
- Mind Chance: 10
- Variance: 5
- Basis Effect #: 200
- Ability Down: HP
- Basis Success Rate: 100%
- Change to Condition: Prone
- Attack Attribute: (Err... Pretty much everything on the menu, except Shadow, Light, Cosmo, HEALING, CURE, and Darkness; ... or the few blank slots after that (I wonder what those are for, now that I think about it...))
Inner Darkness
- Hit Chance: 10
- Mind Chance: 10
- Variance: 2
- Basis Effect #: 100
- Ability Down: HP, MP, Attack, Defense, Mind, Agility, Defnc.Ignore
- Basis Success Rate: 100%
- Change to Condition: (Oh... Umm... Basically everything (including Defeated, Prone, Coma, Frozen, all three Blinds, all four XL-Seeps, 1/2 Focus, 1/2 Will, etc.) except for Sleep, the Sore Hits, the Confounds, the Disables, the Confuses, the Berserks, and the special character conditions (Vengence, Photosyn, etc.))
- Attack Attribute: Darkness
So, as you can see, the damage from Traziun's super special attack is easly greater than Gaius's, but Gaius's will probably render the target helpless enough for it to not make much of a difference. In fact, since Gaius's costs slightly less than Traziun's, it could be possible that, in a fight between the two, Gaius could get Inner Darkness off first, and, provided Traziun wasn't rendered immobile, the XL-Seeps would make it hard to use Signature Slash and all the stat downs might make Traziun unable to reach his awe-inspiring full potential.
