I use the darkness one, because it makes me feel hardcore.
Maybe if you know your true love is about to move away to college or something, you can stick this shit in the stereo and make the moment last while at the same time listening to pussies whine about bitch shit. Just like you.

Illuminati's Hurricane Cut Average Damage is 84.600
Aionsluh's Hurricane Cut Average Damage is 115.067
Illuminati's Normal Attack Average Damage is 75.833
Aionsluh's Normal Attack Average Damage is 102.053

If Illumati executes 100 Hurricane Cuts, it will deal ~8460 damage.
If Aionsluh executes 100 of any combination of Hurricane Cuts and normal attacks, it will deal more.
E.g. if Aionsluh executes 100 normal attacks and NO Hurricane Cuts, it will deal ~10205 damage.

So whatever combination of moves Illuminati wants to come up with, Aionsluh will always be able to deal more damage without even using X-Life. I don't think I can get any clearer than that.

So yeah, it's not like you should ignore Illuminati, because it has some nice moves that you'll want to be able to use later, but Illuminati probably won't be aura of choice once all four are maxed out. Aionsluh will be simply because it's extremely overpowered. Hatassasar should at least have like 30 more attack than it does at max level so that it can compete. Illuminati will just be weak because, in the end, XL isn't the only stat that is relevant to anything, and Illuminati is lacking in everything else.

I've always started out with Pandamaare because I figured it was the weakest (and it probably still is; Pandamaare doesn't have much better attack and will ratings than Illuminati does, and it gets 2 XL a turn until level 5) but I think I'm going to switch to Illuminati so that I can get that 3 XL Draw when I'm leveling my other auras.

Normal attacks that hit all enemies and cause prone? And this sounds like a load of crap to me anyway...

Illuminati can use Hurricane Cut MORE OFTEN THAN AIONSLUH.

u have to admit that Illuminati can get 7 XL and all otheres can get 6 at their max lvl, but thats not much of difference and Illuminati does have lower hand at battle stats.

BTW BAAAAAAAAAAD example. Whos gonna waste 700 XL to cast 100 Hurricane cuts? The monster might be dead in about 5 HCs.

People use Illuminati because its the "good" side. At least its known to be the good side. And its cool looking attacks when wielded. I wonder what the level 5-6 Illuminati auras would look like. cause its not in RM2K Database.

That just isn't true. There's more that factors into the effectiveness of a Hurricane Cut than how many you get off. For one, Hurricane Cut damage is GREATLY affected by your will stat, which just so happens to be 70 points higher with Aionsluh level 6 than with Illuminati level 6.

I ran some tests (n=30) with Rhue's stats as they exist at the end of Episode 5 versus an enemy with no strengths or weaknesses:

Illuminati 6 deals an average of 84.6 damage on a Hurricane Cut, 65.933 damage on a normal hit, and 191.3 damage on a critical.
Aionsluh 6 deals an average of 115.067 on a Hurricane Cut, 78.933 on a normal attack, and 233.067 on a critical.

Factoring in 10% critical rate for Illuminati, 15% critical rate for Aionsluh, and Illuminati's 4% miss rate, the average damage on a normal attack ends up at 75.833 for Illuminati and 102.053 for Aionsluh.

So it's
I Hurricane Cut = 84.600
I Normal Attack = 75.833
A Hurricane Cut = 115.067
A Normal Attack = 102.053

As you can see, even if you pull of x Illuminati Hurricane Cuts, x Aionsluh normal attacks will deal more damage (Provided x>0, obviously).

So the deciding factor is whether or not the proning done from Illuminati's Hurricane Cuts can counterbalance the damage difference between the two auras. I don't think it can. Illuminati can prone every 2 (1.75) rounds and Aionsluh can prone every 3 (2.33) rounds, provided that there is no drawing. The enemies in Episode 5 nearly all have an 80% chance of being proned on a Hurricane Cut. Aionsluh can use Hurricane Cut often enough to keep enemies in a state of perpetual proning (prone always lasts 2 or more turns) just as well as Illuminati can. And if you need the second turn Hurricane Cut, just draw 1 extra XL on the first turn.

Aionsluh also has a significant chance of adding three other status effects to enemies on normal attacks (15% chance. If it's 15% per status effect, then it's a 38.588% chance).

And you can't neglect the fact that if you get all three non-Illuminati auras up to level 6, you can use Triultra. I don't know the stats on it, but I'm betting it's good, and Illuminati is the one aura that doesn't have it.

From what I can see, Aionsluh pretty much outclasses Illuminati.

wow, I 'm impressed. nice research. you even found a special thing without even realizing it or the signifignace of it.

What could be so significant about the Atoma sword aura being overpowered? It seems like no more than a gameplay element to me...

Yay I found a special thing.

...

Impossible, you're right about the hit all thing. I went into the prone already, it really is a tie. So Aionsluh outclasses Illuminati when fighting one enemy.

I'm going to have to do some more math to see if Aionsluh wins when fighting more than one monster at once. Provided no draws (draws would make Illuminati weaker because it'd be a 6/7 ratio instead of a 3/4), four enemies, and 70 attacks...

30 Hurricane Cuts for Aionsluh
40 Hurricane Cuts for Illuminati

Aionsluh: 115.067 * 30 + (102.053 / 4) * 40 = 4472.540
Illuminati: 84.600 * 40 + (75.833 / 4) * 30 = 3952.75

That's 520 more damage PER ENEMY in a 4 enemy battle with Aionsluh than with Illuminati. For a 5 enemy battle it decreases to 420 more damage. So yeah, Illuminati will end up dealing more damage in battles with 8 to 10 enemies, but you've only fought one of those in the entire game and it was with Traziun.

In reality, you're only going to be executing 7 or so attacks in a battle, so Aionsluh, in a four enemy battle, will get off about 52 more points of damage. In battles with lower numbers of enemies, Aionsluh deals even more damage.

Actually, I've looked back over the math, and Aionsluh will always be better. See, 115.067 damage * 30 Hurricane Cuts is 3452 damage with Aionsluh. 84.600 damage * 40 Hurricane Cuts is 3384 damage with Illuminati. So even though Aionsluh's going to be getting off fewer Hurricane Cuts, the extra damage that it deals with each Cut will make up for the difference in number of Cuts. Even if you're fighting an infinite number of enemies, Aionsluh's going to be dealing more damage.

The ONLY issue is prone, and since prone lasts 2 turns auto, it isn't that big of a deal whether or not you get a Cut off every 2 turns or every 3. And I don't think the proning would even make up for the extra damage, either. What's the point of proning the enemy? To make them not attack you. Aionsluh has [much] more defense than Illuminati, so even if the enemies do attack, Aionsluh will be taking less damage.

But still, in order to get the Draw + 3 skill and some others, you HAVE to use the Illuminati, so there's no point in just saying to use something else.

May I add that just because it's packing a bigger punch doesn't mean that it'll be better in every fight. But...

Thats right!!!

We dont know what useful skills LunC would put for Illuminati because its weak and he might put some overpowered skills for it.

O well... lets just stop talking and wait for LunC to give us Ep6 cause i just heard someone say hes delaying Ep6 cause we are making theories without concrete evidence!!!

I'm not saying that you shouldn't use Illuminati. You definitely should, and you should use it before some of the other auras.

I'm just saying that, provided that the storyline isn't affected by which aura you're using, when you've maxed out all four transcendent auras (not happening anytime soon... getting a transcendent to level 6 takes 19 times the amount of AR needed to get an elemental to level 7), you won't be using Illuminati.

Sure, maybe Lun will throw in a lot of enemies that are weak to Illuminati. Maybe the fork that you end up going in (i.e. if Rhue's Rhue+ variable is maxed) will lead you along a path where you fight a ton of evil monsters that are weak to light. Maybe not; Lun does tend to spread aura weaknesses out pretty well. Maybe he'll make monsters that are strong to two of the transcendents and weak to two others so that you have to use either of two specific auras when fighting certain battles.

But if you're fighting monsters without strengths or weaknesses, Illuminati will not be the way to go.

Umm, rm2k? Specifically Common Event 131 (119 for defensives, transcendent defensives are actually 22x the AR of normals). Base value for normal sword auras is 20, and levelups occur at 1x, 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x, and 32x. Base value for transcendents is 200, and levelups occur at 1x, 3x, 9x, 27x, and 81x. Multiply it out, and transcendents take ~19 times as much AR to hit max level.

Monsters are going to have to start giving a lot more AR per battle. CTP'll probably stay constant though.
