If you're being chased by a bear... do not drop into the fetal position for defense... it wont work like it does in movies... although that outcome isn't much better... *shudder*

All good advice, but it's worthless unless you tell him about the secret caves throughout the mountain full of HP pots and Mana pots. Without those he won't be able to cast Chain Lightning to kill everything he sees and destroy the ecosystem for his own benefit!
