Sage Of The Wise wrote:No, you technically dont see them die, but its the PS, when has he ever missed his target?

And you forgot the part were you see Alan (or atleast his legs, I hope the rest of him is there) sticking out of a bush next to the Guided campfire.

I agree most probably the PS did kill Sacrifa but hey the way has been known to have some pretty interesting twists. As far as Alan is concerned I'm thinking its a glitch but i'm probably wrong cause i mean Lun is awesome when it comes to rpg maker. But if i had a second theory than that would be that they gagged him and tossed him in a bush.

This is what Fwacho said about Alan's appearance in that scene:
"Yes, It is signifigant and Neccessary that Alan be presumed but not assuredly dead."

I dont remember it happening, but if it did it would have probably been during the conversation when Rhue walks her back to her hotel in Estrana.

I just checked that conversation and there is no mention of Serena.

If it happend, I doubt it would happen before they got on good terms with eachother, so its got to either be in EP4, or in Laodicea, seeing how thats the only place Rhue might have a chance to talk to Kloe in all of EP5, exept I really dont think it happend there.

I dont know if I would fully believe the theory but I do think a lot of evidence agrees with it. She may have lost her memory when falling into the river or because Rhue's name is different not recall him.

Regarding Serena=Kloe, 1. she loves rhue 2. she gets knocked into the river, 3. Traziun "pulls her out of the river and takes her back to delhara" 4. becomes a blood lyn while at delhara (What else is she going to do?)
5. gets romantically involved with gaius 6. gets sold younger than she is supposed to. yadda, yadda, yadda... Somewhere between 4 and 5, she forgets all about Rhue, so she can be with gauis... umm... she REALLY likes rhue, I don't think she would give up on him that easilly.

But then, it doesn't say how early in her blood lyn years, she gets involved (romantically) with gaius.

and another thing.

Wouldn't it be (very) discouraged to be romantically involved with your blood lyn partner...thing...?

I thought it was encouraged. I mean, why else would they stress the pairing up of opposite genders, anyway? It's probably a scheme to increase the numbers of the blood lyn.

True, but we don't know who Rhue really is.

1. she loves rhue

[rampant speculation]
This has always interested me. How old is "Rhue" when the incident happens? Obviously with rpgmaker2k it's hard to tell the ages of people by their avatars, I always got the impression that rhue was in the 8-10 year old range. Which always made it seem a bit ridiculous that a kid that age would search for a girl for years, which makes me think that "Serena" is a metaphor for something else entirely. And if Serena is indeed just a girl, who's to say she still cares about Rhue? Or even if she did at the time? All we see of her is through Rhue's rose-tinted eyes, and aside from the whole "wolf death" scene the other big bit was her manipulating Rhue to back her up against some bullies, a scene that Rhue makes up as he goes along which is almost certainly means nothing sinister but at this hour my mind gets paranoid.
[/rampant speculation]
Maybe if you know your true love is about to move away to college or something, you can stick this shit in the stereo and make the moment last while at the same time listening to pussies whine about bitch shit. Just like you.

I just can't bring myself to agree with the theory that Serena is a "State of mind" or "metaphor". Don't you think that if that were the case, then rather than escalating the plot, it would exaust it, and the game would be a deflated clod of uselessness?

And about the age thing. You have to remember that the timeline of the game replicates that of the late medieval times, no later than the 1600s. Back then, kids got married before they were 14! they were alot more in touch with their emotions, because they didn't have video games, or school, they just sat there and daydreamed all day. Hey, we can all learn something from this, daydreaming is good for you. Besides, we can all conclude that by Rhue's devotion to her in all the cutscenes, ect. He is no ordinary person. During the storyline we learn that Rhue is indeed, special.(Remember the aura scene in jopaga's lab, where you supposidly go apeshit and kill everyone, while unconcious?) I mean, there are some badass people out there, but even I can't claim to be able to do that!

But who knows. Maybe there is no Serena.

Not really. Rhue's search for Serena has driven the plot so far, but while doing so, it has created a number of other plotlines that Rhue has become tangled in. I mean it's not like the final boss is going to be "TETZEL - GUIDED LORD!!!!" and then when you beat him Rhue is like "The books of Sermeot and Eve! Yes!! ...Serena is not in either book... she must not exist. Oh well [walks off]".

And you have to remember, this is a story about the Way as told from Rhue's perspective, not the other way around. Rhue might have a say in what happens in the end, but the series isn't about Rhue finding the beloved Serena that his memory has taken out of all context. That's just small insignificant part of it (ok, I had to quote that).

I don't know, if i found out Serena was nothing more than a figure of Rhue's imagination i would be disappointed.
