When did YOU discover the way?

Postby Telephalsion » Sun May 16, 2004 2:16 pm

Well I just wanted to know.
When did all of you start playing the way, and how?

Me it was a day at GamingW i noticed some "new" game called "the way episode 3" I thought:
- "hmm an RPG? Better download to check it out!"

and so i did.. I loved it.I decided to play all episodes then starting with number 1 naturally.

Then i waited some months and then ep4 came out and thenafter playing that i joined the forum aswell.

I was just searching for rm2k games and found it on RMD. The Way was actually the first rm2k game I ever played.

A few months ago, I was looking for info on another RM2K game when I saw a bunch of rave reviews for a game called 'The Way'. I thought, "Well, it's probably overhyped, but I'll give it a try anyway." I ended up hooked. :D I lurked around on the forums for a while, waited eagerly for Episode 5, and eventually started posting.

Saw 'The Way Episode One' had been released at GamingW. Downloaded it, as was the style at the time. Read the Way forums for a while (and the various incarnations therin), and eventually registered.

Saw it the day it was released on rpg2knet. Played right through it, went to the website, got involved.

I was a little late, the first episode I played was episode 4 and I got it from gamingW. I was dying so much , so I downloaded from episode 1 and played from there.

If I remember right, i saw it on GamingW  . I saw the graphics and decided to try it. I played Ep. 1 and thought it was ok but not great. I think I was bored one day and decided to try the second one and was like "DAMN!" I was hooked and finished 3 and 4 the same weekend.

I'm a friend of a member from the old forum, I dunno his username though.. He told me about the Way and said it was considered by many to be the greatest rm2k ever created. I played epsode 1 and loved it. After that I was hooked and beat the rest in a week(I had school, would've done it quicker if it was holidays), which is a feat for me, because I'm not exactly the best gamer there is... I've never loved a game so much in my life.. Hell, I'm making a box at woodwork with The Way written all over it...

It won a couple of misao awards or whatever they're called so I went and dowloaded them.

What's funny is that after I downloaded the first episode, I didn't play it for like a month, and then I noticed it in my unzipped and played it and was hooked since.

I saw something that said that that way was awesome, so I downloaded it, I hated the first episode, but I played through it anyway, and didn't download the second episode for like 2 months, i played it and got stuck on the the big stretch that I forget the name of, so I didn't paly it for a long time. Then I saw something that said that episode 5 was released and a ton of people were like, finally and this is the best game ever, so I finshed episode 2 and from there got hooked and I played the whole series over a weekend. The Way is the best.
i pwned them all.

I saw ep 1 at GW and when it left me at a cliffhanger I had to see more. So, I posted a little back in the day. Before the other Webmaster left.
