i was looking around for RPG's and i stumbled onto a site that had a few games on it....one of which was The Way ep.5 so i played it...and it was fun, but i hate not knowing the whole story so i had to download all the rest. After playing throught the first two i was completely hooked and decided to find people that had played it as well.....so i found this forum and decided to register.

About a month and a half ago...I was screwing around with my computer, when I noticed a game called...THE WAY!

BUM BUM BUM. I got addicted fast.

Started at episode 2 when it was first relesed at rpg2knet. I saw it at the top of the reviews list, and so, I downloaded it. Due to a large workload, I didn't play any other episodes until episode 3 came out, which I then proceeded to finish all four episodes in one sitting (that doesn't including walking to th fridge for food or going to the bathroom). Right after that, I got 2 freinds hooked to it in a few days.

Back in the day I downloaded Episode 1 from somewhere... got distracted by a shiny object. End of summer last year, I decide to play 1-4.

I was browsing the net for RPGMaker downloads because I wanted to try making a game with it. But then I stumbled upon GamingW and thought, hey why not try one first to see what this thing can do? I checked out some reviews and saw a review of The Way 4. Sounded awesome and downloaded all 4 episodes right away. After playing the first in school, I got hooked and spent the rest of my free time playing 2-4. Then there was a 2-month delay before episode 5 was released, which I played the day it was available (as most of you probably did).

Now I have to wait again, hopefully not till the end of the year. If I do have to wait till the end of the year I'll have to replay all episodes first, which may not be such a bad thing anyway.

My main goal now is to get my friends to play it too. They're a bit sceptical about playing these "ugly" games, but I'll get them to start it up sometime, knowing they like the same games I do they'll love The Way.

I played it when it first came out. Can't remember where though. I used to hang out at the old message boards. Then I disappeared.

I found out about it on Don Miguel(sp?)'s forums. Episode 2 has been released, so I played the first one and then the second one. I forgot about The Way until episode 3 was released, so I played it, and then Ep 4 came, skip a few months, I download it. Then I saw that there were forums so I joined them and eagerly awaited episode 5.

There I was in car driving down from Colorado to TExas on my way to get married and says to my bro. " Bro, bring your notebook along so we can work teh plot out on the way down. and lo.. Kloe and Dirk were born beside Lyrra...
Then thre was play tetsting when I visted my parents and teh game kept crashing.... I remember a bug in episode 5 that I was first to find out where a chipset got changed all of a sudden like i couldn't even make my way through estrana....
THose were the days. I remember talking about the swords and teh character and how they all fit together in some wierd way. i remember planning the fate of Traziun and Gaius. i remember planning this elaborate scene with traziun and rhue in a dark forest that ended up gettign chunked despite five hours of brainstorming it. dang tha was a lt fun back just before episode 1 was released. Lun had been wokring on anotehr idea called "Hell Space" that he decided he would save for another game engine that was better. You all almost got that idea instead.

I was talking to LinoG and he told me to check out this game, it has some nice features. So I downloaded Episode 1 thought it was outragiously awesome and I'm a really critic/asshole too so that says alot. I noticed the second one came out and was all hyped up about that. Then I disapeared from the RM2K universe just to return with more knowledge and less patience.

I first saw some series called "The Way," but I didn't plan on playing it because I was already playing some other game, probably A Blurred Line 2.1. Well, later I saw it again, but I still didn't download it. Later, when I was bored and had no RM2K Game to play, I remembered "The Way." So I went on Gaming World. I was trying to find Episode I, but it wasn't there! I went to rpg2knet.com and found Episode III, I think. But it gave a link to the creator's homepage, and I found Episode I there.

One of the orginal Crestfallen Few

Postby Matt Hakor » Sun May 23, 2004 11:18 am

Well way back in 99 I was surfing the rpg sits when I stumbled upon a website that said "Crestfallen: Inception Act 1 by Lun Calsari". Intriged I downloaded the game and I enjoyed it. Lo and Behold Act 2 was released and I became hooked on Lun's skills. I signed up in the old school forums and needless to say, I'm still here. I was one of the first that was told about "The Way" when Lun was still designing the first Episode. After six years, I'm still one of the orinigal Crestfallen Few remaining.
