actually, I'm older. I tried to convince our parents other-wise, but they insisted we keep him anyways.

Oh yeah... working title of novel is "The Fall of Mahkinoc" and yes, I thinkit would make for an amazing screen play. if any of you all ever become a famous director you should probably make "The Way" first... I think it would be cheaper.

Hey fwacho - did you have an agent, and what publisher are you going through? I plan on writing a few books myself. I'm curious about your experience.

No agent, I'm going through Tate publishing. 2 things to consider before you submit though. 1) they onlyaccept completed manuscripts (aka gone over multiple times with few to no errors) and 2) you might want to read what kind of stuff they accept. you can look them up by googling "tate publishing".

hope that helps. I'll let you all know when my book is available for sale

Holy shit, I didn't even pick up on this when I first read the post. Somehow, it all makes sense . . . damn, THAT is one family I would NOT want to mess with.

fwacho - Hope your book does well. I'm hoping for one of the bigger fantasy publishing houses, like Del Rey, Tor, etc. . . . well, I guess that means I have to finish my book first, eh?

Who wants to download a book? Seriously, books are the one last intellectual property that isn't worth pirating, at this point at least. Until they invent a handheld book reader that doesn't suck, there would be no point in downloading a 400-page novel and tediously scrolling through it on your PC or laptop. So if you pirate fwacho's book you must be both an ass and a moron.

I downloaded a PDF of the Icewind Dale Trilogy, But it was only because I couldn't find the books in the shops.

It wasn't that annoying scrolling down the page, but it gave me a huge ass headache after a while.

I wouldn't Download a copy of Fwacho's book, I'd buy it and tease all of my friends with it. :)

So I guess it DID end up being annoying, eh? But at least you only downloaded it cuz you couldn't find it elsewhere. I know I wouldn't want to read a book that way.

I'd buy a copy and be like... I KNOW THIS GUY!... and then they'll ask me what it's about and I'll say I don't read.

And Fwacho, you know nothing about how you were spawned! that goes for Cocoa too!

reading on your cumputer hurts your eyes, seriously, if you compare staring at a screen for 6 hours to staring at a paper for 6 hours you'll feel better after paper.

I rarely read, but when I do, its all I do. I go on a ling reading streak, then i go on to my normal hobies, then when I find another book worth reading, BAM! it starts all over again.

our mom had arule for us growing up that we all followed. "If one of you gets in trouble, even if it's their own fault, you other two stick up for 'em."

generally no one messed with us.
