Montezuma's Revenge is more than a game

Postby Teenr0cker » Tue Nov 15, 2005 5:08 am

I know you might think this is a glorifacation of the game "Montezuma's Revenge" and thus believe I must be a fool for putting a game topic on the Scratch Wall, but I kid you not.

For those of you who are unaware, I have recently dedicated my 3 day weekend to helping people in Tijuana, Mexico, which is basically close enough to the border for procreation to occur. Tijuana is a dirty muddy place, like any other lower-class city, where electricity is precious and sewage systems are the things of gods, too expensive for the common man. This lack of proper sewage dispension has led to severe water contamination, which many locals are immune to at this point. However, roughly 40% of the visitors succomb to infection due to minor error and are infected with a terrible ailment called Montezuma's Revenge.

I am one of those people.

I have yet to recover from my constant vomitting, with which my body seems to reject any form of food or drink, other than water. My day has consisted of waking up, hurling, drinking more water, and passing out. Abdominal cramps and severely decreased strength are also very evident.

I sign off now with these two things: Advice to never ever go to mexico, no matter how promising the thought of easy community service hours seems, and the statement that should I fail to return for an extensive amount of time, I entrust Happenstan with the sole duty of putting newbs in their place here and on the IRC channel, as well as reminding War that he's a friggin moron. My only regret to this "get out of school free" infliction is that I will miss the drama production of the Crucible at my school, because we all know that if any men named John Proctor plow their fields on sundays, they must kick total ass!

Ofuxxor™ may cause missing limbs, lack of marmosets, and overall malaise. Pregnant women, or men who are impregnated with alien embryos, should not take Ofuxxor.

Man, thats really got to suck. All the less reason to go to Mexico.

Or bring your own water when you go to Mexico. I heard that the reason the water in Mexico causes such bad diarrhea is that the water contains a lot of protists parasites. They are very scary looking things especially the flukes. They look like one celled manta rays.

That sucks, Teen. Be sure to keep drinking that water - if you have severe diarrhea, dehydration is the most dangerous thing you face. I would hope you're almost done with it, water contamination sickness shouldn't last more than a week and a half.

If any of you ever do go to Mexico, either bring your own water, don't drink water, or boil the fuck out of the water.

And since we have better sewage and water treatment capabilities, I don't believe that Mexicans have that much of a problem with our water. There isn't a term for George Washington's Fuck-You-Up now is there?

well, luckily, thats the one thing I don't ....Do!pfffbwahaha....

No, seriously, Shatting myself day in and day out was the only symptom I didn't experience. I went to school today, and I am actually up early to go to school for a makeup test before school, so I'm getting things back on track.

We had Arrowhead water (the cooler container kind), and we brought our own coolers to keep em in (the sports cooler kind), so it was mainly my error that I got infected. I worked with the water too much and absorbed some I guess, cause I never drank any water there, but I did get wet at the base a coupla times, working cleanup duty. I want to submit an article to my teacher about it, but something about the title "Mexico is t3h lamezor" just doesn't seem right in California...
