Three The Hard Way is awesome.
The only problem is is that it takes about an hour or two to save up enough money to buy a decent weapon. However I really do like how you get items, but finding all the materials for items can be annoying sometimes.

And about this Ryan guy: Sounds like the biggest hypocrite whoever graced this board with his presence. Correct me if I am wrong.
oh yeah by the way. Doovy & Co. are not gone. After all... I am Doovy and Forunner is still here.

GCM: I told you the story sucks, The guy has attempted to translate his book into the game after learning English for about two weeks *snickers*
The game is rather idiotic, Yes. But it has awesome hellishly long dungeons, Get back to me after you pass Tangar, That is, If you pass Tangar. Think of it as an overly clich'ed NES dungeon crawling game and you will see it isn't that bad.

Sage: Three the Hard Way was indeed an excellent game, But no, It was easy as hell like nearly every other RPG, I needed to retry only two bosses and I managed to defeat them both after the second try. And at times its plot is rather lame, Too, Not laxiuspower lame, But lame.
The Way is the only game that I can think of that is near perfection, If only the game was harder it would be the best game ever created , Right now, At least for me, It is the best RPG ever created , For its awesome story and gameplay, But the lack of difficulty. I mean, I died only once in The Way after god knows how many replays. Heck, In my first time I used only type 1# notch items as I was too much of an idiot to figure how to use 2# and 3#. And guess what? I still had easy time, The only plunge I lost was the final one against Strata and I didn't lose a normal battle.

You'll be whining about exactly the opposite problem when E6 comes out. It's only E4-5 that are too easy, E3 that's too fucking tedious, and E1-2 isn't so bad because perfect stats aren't that high yet. Anyway, it's a turn-based RPG, were you expecting REAL gameplay outside of puzzles, mini-games, Plunges, etc? No offense meant to Lun, of course, the aura system is fantastic, and although it gets old after fighting the same enemy ten times, the very modified DBS is pretty nice. But still, battling gets boring in all turn-based (or ATB) RPGs. The Way is more exciting than a Final Fantasy game, at least.

Oh, and how fucking many times is Ryan going to get all pissed off, leave, and then come back trying to be best friends? Honestly, I knew this would happen...

Hehe.. I doubt I'll find it hard, I grew up on hellishly hard games, The curse is the fact I don't find challenge in normal games outside of puzzles anymore. Finish Nox with 10 or less deaths without reloading for any reason beside resuming the game as you had to go last time or your 10 deaths, Then get back to me.

And about battles in turn-based RPGs... I disagree. As long as the battles are well done the player will never get tired of them.

The Way is the best RPG ever made and don't you dare say otherwise, But I wish it had half-an-hour-of-struggle-for-survival battles like some other, older, games do.

You will regret saying that.

I could understand if you didn't think it was incredibly hard, but "easy as hell" is a huge understatement. That game has some incredibly intricate and difficult puzzles that I haven't seen in any other rm2k game to date.(Exept ep6, thats got a few good ones in there) Not to mention the game kinda forced you to be undre leveled.

Anderson Fayette and Vance could take about anything in the game with ease , Throw in North and nothing stands a chance.

A lot of the puzzles were to easy, in most of them all you had to do was arrange crystals in a certain amount of moves. But my favorite puzzle was the arrow puzzle, it got me thinking for hours and then i thought "hey that looks like an arrow" so...yeah.

The hardest puzzle would be that one you have to do with Manteo the Trickster and if you give up you have to give him all of your GP. I found that puzzle impossible.

Believe E6 is on a new level of The Way hardness.

But I wish it had half-an-hour-of-struggle-for-survival battles like some other, older, games do.

Yes, you will regret that.

Three the Hard Way was pretty hard, but the best game when it comes to puzzles will always be Golden Sun TLA.

Fuck the puzzles in those elemental rock places really pissed me off. the easiest one was the one where you had to water the plants in the maze and then fight that dragon, and it was still pretty fucking hard.

I trew my gameboy at the wall when i was trying to solve Air's Rock. Fucking stupid tornados.

Heh, As I have said, I do love challenge, I -hope- I'll be angry at failing to a boss and then, After god knows how many trys, Finally figure it out.

And the Golden Sun puzzles were exellent, Not too hard but far from easy, Perfect, Pretty much.

And Sage, Before that there is no boss you have even a chance to lose to unless you are 8 year old or very unlucky.

Every single enemy kicked my ass on the island, and Fayette averaging 1 damage a turn was not helping. Samr thiing with the desert, my guys were all in heat stroke the entire time. The parts inbetween when you have the 2 other guys I cant remember the names of were easy enough, but everytime its just Vance and Fayette you're screwed.

Vance is an extremely well balanced all around character, He should do all the combat, Fayette should heal and use Sharpen to recover MP to heal more HP then she lost, And keep Vance alive. Vance is much better as a defensive character then on the offense, With the right equipment he is fucking invincible.

Actually the characters would be different for everyone because the stat increases are random.

I like the system on FFII where the stats incerase the more you use them.
