Dictatorship is one man ruling over a nation. A puppet democracy is much different. It's a government that basically controls their nation but also does whatever the US tells them to. Huge difference because puppet democracies don't annihilate and perform genocide on groups of their citizens.

I'm afraid you are wrong. Many puppet governments that were supposed to be good turned out pretty bad, AKA Taliban. And many people who we SUPPLIED WITH WEAPONS turned out to hate us AKA Saddam.

Yeah, but turning into something is a lot different then being something, now isn't it? The US creates a puppet democracy. It becomes a dictatorship. Just because it becomes a dictatorship doesn't mean it started as a dictatorship. The US never really wants an ally as a dictatorship because they're impossible to trust. We'd much rather have a democracy that we have control over.

Come on, it IS about oil. What other reason could be? The "chimical weapon" bullshit was a lame excuse, seen from an external point of view, even if I can understand an american who believed it.

First off, he seriously thought there were WMD in Iraq. Clinton "confirmed" it along with the head of the CIA. We also have sattelite pictures of large trucks carrying stuff over the borders to other countries. Not saying they were the WMDs, but they could've been.

Secondly, if he really was in it for oil, why has he not gotten any? I live in PA. Gas prices are usually $1.50 or so a gallon. Over the past year(which is when the war started) gas prices have soured to....wow...$2.15. That's a fuckload for gas.

Thirdly, you're taking a very anti-America stance on this. I feel ridiculous being the only person on this forum to ever stick up for the USA. Other countries bash on us constantly for all the bad things we do. Oh yeah, like we're the only country that has done bad stuff. The US is one of the most trustworthy allies in the entire world. We helped all of Western Europe(Italy, half of Germany, France, UK, Spain, Portugal) to defend itself against the USSR. You guys loooooved us then. Now that our protection is no longer needed(but we still make up a large portion of many of those same countries own defensive forces) you insult us. We get more shit then any other country in the world but we are one of the most socially liberal and economically safe countries in the world. France? France's economy is a joke compared to the USA and when it comes to being socially liberal.....haha....not to Algerians. Muslim's also have nearly no rights in that country. It's like stepping back into the 50s. Italy hates black people, plain and simple. Not to mention all their political parties, non of which ever get shit done. Germany relies on us for protection yet they are always one of the first countries to turn against us in our times of need, even if they are bad. The USA managed to hold onto half of Germany and preserve their country for them. The UK is the only European country that seems to always be halfway decent with the US. Them and Japan, although Japan isn't exactly European, it's close enough.

So, the lesson is, before you spout your anti-US bullshit remember all the stuff we've done for you. I hate Bush and I think he is a terrible president, but he had no idea the WMDs were not in Iraq and he had no idea that when he got there he wouldn't find them. The US is a great country people and although many Americans are arrogant and greedy we are at least trustworthy compared to some other people. Remember Vietnam, France? When the French troops gave up fighting and the Americans had to move in. How about World War 2? Your country fell in what......6 days? Don't hate on America for all the stuff we've done wrong when you're sitting in just as much shit as us.

I hope some other people who have pride in being American will come forward.
