Forgive me, for I have sinned.....

Postby Vaylos » Sat Dec 31, 2005 9:08 am

So....my brother came home to visit for xmas, which is all well and good. He gave some good pointers involving my music, and it seems i'm on the right track for becoming a composer. However, he showed a keen interest in all the japanese animation I watch....

So I opened the gates of hell, and sent him an e-mail with instructions for acquiring and using utorrent as well as a variety pack of torrents (mostly first episodes to give him a taste) Also sent him a list of codecs he'd need. So...yeah....I've somehow managed to corrupt my brother with anime when he probably won't have a lot of time to watch it.

Note: for the record, I'm 26, and my brother is 13 years older than me. He's like....an older, more tempermental, and less naive version of me...which is kinda spooky.

I've never really been in to anime, its never really seemed interesting.

My opinion of anime has been spoilt by evil bastard licensers like 4Kids and Funimation. Some Anime is pretty good, but personally I stick of Mangas.

I don't watch alot of anime, only the good stuff. There are quite a few anime shows that i don't like, perhaps more than i do like, but there is some stuff out there worth watching. It's just a case of weeding out the good ones from the ones that make you want to hurt babies.

Hey, don't judge Funimation by DBZ - they also created one of the best dubs I've ever seen, Fullmetal Alchemist. 4Kids, on the other hand, are servants of the devil sent to bring about the apocalypse and torture us all for eternity - which we will spend being forced to watch their dubs, in the SHADOW REALM!

Speaking of FMA, they finally brought it to Australia........And i'm not very impressed with the dub.

Maybe I'll stick with my Japanese dub.
oh yeah by the way. Doovy & Co. are not gone. After all... I am Doovy and Forunner is still here.

Well I havn't seen the real Fullmetal Alchemist, so I can't compare but I'm watching it whenever it's on Adult Swim and I think the dub is pretty good.

the FMA dub on AS is "okay" It's certainly tons better than most the crap you see :P Samurai Champloo also had a decent dub. Hmmm...I need to start watchig that one again...never finished watching it :P

and in other news (warning: off topic)

I've decided to start working on a remix and attempt submitting it to Overclocked Remixes.

Target track is the Royal Chapel theme from Castelvania: Symphony of the Night.

I've got a rough draft up on my webspace atm, but it still needs work...particularly the violin -.-

You may return to your regularly scheduled topic :D
