Strata: Down but not out?

Nice enthusiasm, but I beat you to it. Didn't take too long, I just skimmed over 90% of the BS about how Strata isn't really evil, what is evil really, etc. to look for stuff actually pertaining to the plot of the Way. Here is what I found:

I remembered Lyrra lost her sword, and Kalmar said it would go to another? Supposedly these babies go to the worthy ones. Who is in incredible emotion like Trazuin, who vows revenge like Trazuin, who would give up everything he knows and loves to get his way like Trazuin?

Essentially, Strata.

Strata is going to get Kalmar's sword, which will rocket him into center-stage as a major villain to Rhue.

I think the final boss is Rhue's own sword, Aubuta

That does seem like an interesting possibility. However, that would probably only be possible if the final battle were a plunge. (At least that's what seems sensible to me, especially in light of recent suggestions that the shadow figures Rhue plunges are the spirits of swords.)

I think as further Rhue slips down his path of wrong-doing that he realizes that his sword is reacting more and more to events as he nears Serena. Meanwhile his friends think Rhue's gone nuts and try to get him to stop, possibly fighting him.

Then at the climax, the sword goes loco, kills one of Rhue's closest friends to protect itself, Rhue sees this, and casts Aubuta off.

The result is something like the Shadow Man, except embodying all the strength and will of the people Rhue's killed. Rhue takes a normal sword (To personify the will of a person himself, and not of some magical, intelligent sword) and Plunges Aubuta. Aubuta loses control and begins to call up souls from the Lower Way and becomes...very...very powerful.

I just had the weirdest idea about a cross between the matrix and ffX in which it would be rhue's spirits that actually make the way physically possible for rhue, and that he exepierences whatever his mind wants him to, much or less like a lucent dream...

That's all I could find that might be of interest. I was skimming pretty hardcore, so maybe I missed something, but I don't think so. Considering 90% of this topic is crap I wouldn't recommend moving the entire topic, maybe just reposting the pertinent stuff somewhere else.

I love irony. This is probably the first thing I gloated about after finishing E6.

Whoah... this was a little far fetched, but the first one isnt' that far off. The last part is just ridiculous, though.

Actually, I just saw another of fwacho's posts that leads me to believe that it's all that discussion of evil that he was referring to and thought was important in this topic. Hopefully I didn't just waste my freakin' time.

That's very astute I would also refer the readersto the estrana area post of "Strata down but not out" for a a very thorough discusion of evil and how it relates to The Way.

I'm not going back through again. I still think those other quotes are interesting, though.

Its funny how people think theres not enough information on the Mimic to believe its important, yet Kalmar mutters the word Aubuta, and everyones convinced that thats the name of the sword.

Yet we still don't know what it is and when Kalmar says something it must be important Maybe it's just a word like lands that he conjured up but nobody really liked it and now he's the only own using it.
