Episode 3 Swimming Help

Hello. Sorry to bother you all, but I've encountered a bit in Episode 3 that I've found impossible to pass, and I can't find it mentioned in any other thread here.

The problem occurs very near the start, in the cave behind the waterfall. There is an underwater tunnel you apparently have to take, and crossing the path of this underwater tunnel are two channels of current that drag Rhue down the waterfall and kill him. While I can just barely make it past the first channel, the second is impossible for me, and I keep getting draged over the falls and dying.

Is there some kind of trick I'm missing? I seem to be the only one who has the problem. I'd really appreciate the help.

There are two switches you have to flip to reduce the speed if the water, and if you already switched them, you may not be going as high as you can, right before the water pushes you push up and go as high as you can, then go into it and you'll make it, this works for both ASLONG as both of the switched were pulled.
