I like the no class idea. There could just be one chooseable class or something. I'll talk to Porter.

I could be wrong, but it'd be a nice twist for this game, that your class is just a nice name, and it depends on your skills. Possibly that classes get some small bonus. I.E. If you sneak a lot you become a rouge and rouges get a boost to sneaking.

Yeah, that's basically how Morrowind's system works - and I think it works pretty well. Matter of fact, every player has the same skills, but the major skills you have level up faster, and you start off with higher levels for them (same with minor skills). It still requires that when you begin the game you have to pick which skills you want to be major/minor, but it does give you a lot more leeway and freedom in areas that you want to concentrate in. Basically you can create your own class in this method. The catch is that you have to have a decent amount of different skills to choose from.

I can't play MMORPG's because my computer is too crappy and the college computers won't allow me to install anything but some good classes would have to be ... Warrior of Righteous Justice, Fire Warrior, Ice Man and She-Woman-Cat-Type-Thing
In this day and age, an era where there are people who actually throw shit at each other, anything, could be possible.

If classes were just "Titles" that grant bonuses based on what stats you raised I think that would work. And for skills and weapons to be stat-dependent rather than class-dependent.

e.g. 10 Str to equip a Short Sword

or...

25 Spd to perform the skill "Quick Strike"

Y'dig?

we need a nija class!

or no classes at the start, but learnening one skill denies learning others and your choices determine your class. bonuses for different combos.
"Mum, Grandad says he cant get his bottom set of false teeth out."

"Don, are you all right?"

"I can't get my teeth out"

"that's cause they're real"
-----------------------------------------

Grandad's mind gave up on boxing day, to late to get him new one for Christmas, he'll have to wait till his birthday now.

you could have skill points you earn to get the skills, or just buy skills and have them have stat requirments. Or you could learn skills naturally when you get the required stats.
And the Lord said unto John, "Come forth and receive eternal life." But John came fifth and won a toaster.

Exactly, I thought that much was obvious.
