2nd E was rather balanced, But had too much silly rules, And the battle system was rather boring.. Whatever you do, Do not switch to Third. A pure-class character cannot survive in 3rd E.. Presige classes are basicaly "Looks at me! I am like the base class-Only better!"

And Tele, If you will ever have the urge to try roleplaying, Go with Call of Cthulu, The Ravenloft 2nd E setting, Or a good home-made one... Though my favorite one (beside the one I have designed) shall always remain Call of Cthulu...

If you have no clue what's Call of Cthulu is, This topic about a RM2K game based of it should give you a good clue..

Lun and I dabbled in a few RPG's back in the early 90's and late 80's we tried "Top Secret" "teenage mutant nija turtles" and (that was actualy a pretty good one, I was the GM for that one) "Mechwarrior" (he GMed and I played the roles of villains when fighting was done)
The Crestfallen series was based on a world we created for an RPG and it later became the world that my book "The Fall of Mahkinoc" (In stores July) takes place in. I still remeber the joys of hashign out scripts for early episodes of the Way. E5 was the last serious involvement I had.
As table top stuff goes I'm the real gamer although I go more for the outright battles than role playing. classic battle tech was my baptism into minis and l later went on to warhammer 40k where I reside today.

As far and D&D goes. Lun and I had some very bad expereinces on multiple occasions with people who were playing or had just played it, so we never touched it.

D&D is the devil, Go CoC go! Seriously, What's not to like in a game where you are more likely to lose from going insane then dieing?

Heh, sounds pretty awesome, but I'm not into tabletop RPs.
Shop smart, shop S-Mart.

<Jeramyu> I'm going to mistranslate our own anime, and piss ourselves off.

Too bad you couldn't stay on it for the final episode... Maybe that would have resulted in a more... shall we say, pleasing ending to the series.

Good luck with your book by the way, I hope it will be accessible in Europe sometime too, although I'll probably import it if it never reaches these shores.

There's a song by Metallica called Call of the Ktulu.
In this day and age, an era where there are people who actually throw shit at each other, anything, could be possible.

Thank you for that pointless tidbit of information.
