The reason we have Easter is to celebrate Jesus' crucifiction and ressurection. Easter eggs signify new life. Dunno about rabbits. The reason why it is in spring is to stop us celebrating a Pagan festival, the same thing with Christmas. Jesus was actually born 2 weeks before Easter and was crucified 36 years later, 2 weeks after Easter. They've actually found Jesus' Death Certificate and there was something on TV about some Frech dudes discovering the cloth he was buried in, some Ethiopan people discovering the Ark of the covenant, some scientists proved the flood and the 10 plagues actually happened and some dude found Noah's Ark.

The 10 Plagues of Egypt. All the Israelite people moved to Egypt because
Israel's(also known as Jacob) son Joseph was the Pharoah's right hand man. When the pharoah died the nee pharoah knew nothing of Joseph and saw no reason for the Israelites to live in their land for free and so forced them into slavery. 400 Years later God sent Moses to go talk with the Pharoah. Becuase the pharoah was stubborn and refused God inflicted Egypt with 10 plagues.
1. Turning of the nile into blood
2. Frogs
3. Gnats
4. Flies
5. Disease on farm animals
6. Boils
7. Hail
8. Locusts
9. Darkness
10. Killing of the firstborns (The Passover)

And now the explanations.
1. Red Clay in the bottom of the Nile dissolved making the water look and taste like blood.

2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8. Some ancient egyptian manuscripts. And some kind of scientific explantion. Can't remember but it sounded right at the time.

9. Some kind of eclipse, I think it was a planetary alignment or something.

10. Lots of graves from the same time.

I can't remember what they actually said but basically it proved a lot of stuff in the bible actually happened. Of course tjey didn't admit it proved it because they "didn't want to offend muslims" which is complete bullshit.
Why do muslims have to be treated better than everyone else? They're a racist religion anyway.

First off, no one knows where the ark of the covenant is. In fact, there are about a hundred different places that claim that they own the authentic ark of the covenant. No one found Noah's arc. I have no idea where you heard this, but no one knows where it is. It definitely isn't on top of that one mountain and it definitely has not been found. Everyone who has claimed to see Noah's arc or has pictures of it is lying, as every sighting has turned out to be a hoak.


Also, how do lots of graves from the same time signify God killing all the firstborn sons of Egypt? There could have been an outbreak of disease or starvation. It is very likely to happen in a crowded city setting with poor hygeine and health, such as ancient Cairo.

I already said it before, Easter was not celebrated because of Jesus, Easter was a pagan holiday. We just decided it would be more fitting as a Christian one. We just love to adopt holidays and call them our own (Hello, Christmas).

The religion of Islam considers Jews and Christians to both be followers of the book and are to be treated with respect. However, on the other hand, many Muslims believe that Jews and Christians should be Muslims and aren't because they have turned away from Allah and should not be respected.

According to the Qu'ran, Jews and Christians living in Muslim territories were allowed to practice their beliefs by paying a small tax. However, they did not have the same obligations that Muslims had.

No matter what way you put it, Islam is about as rascist a religion as Christianity or Judaism. Its just a couple of fundamentalists that fuck up the whole idea.

First off, I never said I knew where the Ark of the covenant was. There was a program on TV about tracing the queen of sheba and some village reckoned they had the Ark. I NEVER said I agreed with them. People HAVE FOUND NOAH's Ark, except, Turkey (the place where they found it) is a prodominantly Muslim country and didn't want to officially release the information becuase they were afraid it would disprove their religion and it was found on that mountain, just not in one piece.

I can't remember exactly what they said. Obviously, lots of graves doesn't prove anything but the fact they were all from the time the first passover and no can explain how they died and its recorded in some ancient egyptian manuscript. If Islam is the most tolerant religion then how come Christians are treated so badly in muslim run countries? As I said before some Christians are locked up in crates, others are executed, some are tortured, the list goes on. Obviously, you do get decent Muslims.

Easter is about Jesus. It's just some guy (probably the pope) decided it would be better to have it in April rather than the time Jesus actually got crucified becuase they didn't want people to celebrate the Pagan festival. I should know, my dad is a bible and religion expert.

Uh, well, actually no. I didn't really quite find one at that time. Turns out the bunny represents like...spring and new beginnings and crap like that and the eggs are also symbolic of festivity and life, despite the fact we hardboil our eggs prior to painting them. Maybe that's a little twisted....



As for Jesus and eggs? I was implying the man loved them or something. You know, like "Oh shit, our fat cousin is coming today?" "Better hide the new box of chocolates so he doesn't eat them all" sort of a dealie. Like...hide the good stuff so you can have it later.
